Today’s Devotional Scripture: 40 I waited patiently for the Lord; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry.
2 He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings. - Psalm 40:1-2 KJV

Audio Version Of This Devotional: Stand On Firm Ground Audio
God is a solid rock. He is the firm foundation on which we stand as believers. Whenever we start to feel discomforted, unstable, or lost, we can turn to God, and we can turn to His Word in order that we may place our feet on solid ground once more.
There are so many beautiful scriptures in His Holy Word that demonstrate the power of God to establish you, and to restore you. First Peter 5 and 10 is one of those, and in First Peter 5 and 10, it says that God Himself will establish you.
10 But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. - 1 Peter 5:10 KJV
When reading that full scripture, and understanding the power of God to structure and empower your life, it becomes easy to let go of all of the things that you cannot control.
All of the situations that have popped up out of the blue, that have come to undermine you, to try to destabilize you. When situations start to get uncomfortable due to the negative hearts of man, when things start to change simply because systems are being restructured, God is still able to do what He said He could do. He is still able to restore you.
So many prophetic words and events that have been prophesied by the Holy Bible have come to pass as evidence that God is not a stranger to these uncertain times. He is not lost to where we are in this moment. He knows the unique struggles we have in this generation. The things that our parents dealt with, and those things that they had to overcome, those are old struggles and demons and principalities. What we're dealing with in this season requires a fresh faith, and it requires us to come into agreement with His Word, to stand and see the salvation of the Lord.
In Exodus 14, even in what seemed like a no-win situation, Moses was told by the Lord what to say to the children of Israel. And in his saying it, from that day to now, we have this powerful scripture that demonstrates God's power.
Exodus 14 says,
14 The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace. Exodus 14:14 KJV
That this battle isn't yours, it is not mine, it is the Lord's. That a lot of what is happening, a lot of the distractions, a lot of the warfare that God's people are encountering in this season is against establishment and against us being in proper position for the end time anointing. But God is able to do it. He's able to restore you. He's able to keep you. He's able to strengthen you and place your feet on solid ground.
Having that faith and that assurance is everything in a world that decides to tell you that God is not real and it wants to undermine your faith and mock our God. However, God is not a man that he should lie nor the son of man that he should change his mind. And God is not mocked. For whatever he says and whatever a man sows, that man is going to reap.
There is no confusing the power of God to establish and restore his people. It shows up again and again and again through God's Holy Word, the Old Testament and the New. God is faithful to his people. He is faithful to uphold nations. He's able to uphold communities. He's able to uphold you and your family. He is able to keep you. And though it may seem as it has been forever and it may seem like it has been a long road, keep in mind the word that God told Habakkuk when he began to seek the Lord and absolutely believed God.
God spoke directly to the prophet and he said, for the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak and not lie. Though it tarry, wait for it because it will surely come. It will not tarry.
3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry. - Habakkuk 2:3 KJV
This is the word of the Lord to the prophet when the prophet sought him out in prayer. You have the same ability to go before God and seek him in prayer for every situation you are facing that seems overwhelming, that seems impossible, that seems improbable, and that seems like it will never break. God is able to break it. He's able to shift it. He's able to restore and so our pressing in prayer and our pressing in praise and our fasting all works together to bless the Lord. It all works together that there may be a demonstration.
God is able to do what he said he would do. He is our firm foundation. He is closing old doors. He is shifting things in your life right now today. Though you may not be able to see it, God is sending his word over your life, which is why he says in Jeremiah 29 and 11, he says,
11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. - Jeremiah 29:11 KJV
This scripture is evidence that God knew what you would be dealing with right now. He knew what your struggle would be right now. He knew that you'd be facing difficulties, that you'd be facing resistance, that you'd be wondering why and how is everything going to work out when it all looks so bad. But God is able. He's going to provide peace and not evil and he's going to give you an expected end as it says in that scripture. He's not a man that he should lie, nor the son of man that he should change his mind.
If God said it, that makes it so. You can rest assured that He is faithful and that he is able to keep his promises. God will restore no distractions and no delays. This is the season where God is saying, trust him, walk with him and allow him to establish you and place your feet on solid ground.
Closing Devotional Prayer
My prayer for you: Father, in the name of Jesus, I thank you. I thank you right now that everything that's not like you is breaking. I thank you for scattering the hands of the enemy. I thank you, God, that above all else, God, you will be glorified. Thank you for the mighty women of God reading or listening to this devotional right now.
Thank you, God, that you are a promise keeper, that your word never fades, that your word never fails. We can trust in you, oh God. You are a promise keeper. You are a restorer of dreams and visions. Joel 2.25 says, God, that you will restore what the cankerworm and the palmer worm stole, your great army that you sent amongst us, God.
You know what it is that we're doing. You know the things that we've had control over and the things that have been outside of our control. And so I thank you that the mighty woman of God is leaning in ever the more. I think that the word of the Lord is going to work over her life right now, that as she's tapping in and listening and investing her time into this devotional, oh God, that you are moving in her life and that you are breaking down every stronghold and every wall and that lack has no authority. I thank you, Lord, and I pray in Jesus' mighty name. Amen.
