Today’s Devotional Scripture: 9 And David was afraid of the Lord that day, and said, How shall the ark of the Lord come to me?
10 So David would not remove the ark of the Lord unto him into the city of David: but David carried it aside into the house of Obededom the Gittite.
11 And the ark of the Lord continued in the house of Obededom the Gittite three months: and the Lord blessed Obededom, and all his household.
12 And it was told king David, saying, The Lord hath blessed the house of Obededom, and all that pertaineth unto him, because of the ark of God. So David went and brought up the ark of God from the house of Obededom into the city of David with gladness.
13 And it was so, that when they that bare the ark of the Lord had gone six paces, he sacrificed oxen and fatlings. - 2 Samuel 6:9-13 KJV

Audio Version Of This Devotional: The Cadence of Grace Audio
Grace has a sound and carrying that grace requires great wisdom. In this scripture, we see where David is afraid of moving the Ark of God. And the fear is what essentially causes him to leave the ark of the covenant in the house of Obededom, the Gittite. After losing Uzziah, after the cart shook and Uzziah put out his hand and touched the ark, David was afraid and didn't want anyone else hurt.
So for three months, the glory of the Lord was not inside the city of David. The glory had shown up so mightily in the house of Obededom that many came to tell King David of the blessing that Obededom was receiving. Him and his whole household. They knew it was the ark that was causing the blessings.
Don't get so caught up in the fear that you miss the opportunity to walk fully in the things of God. Many times in order to do that, we must be in alignment with the Holy Spirit and be moving with the cadence of grace. Yes, grace has a rhythm, a cadence, a sound. To receive the grace is to receive that you may not be fully equipped. You may not have all that's required to be qualified, but you are positioned. You are in the position of the latter rain.
Today, bear in mind that this cadence is at work constantly in every season of your life. There is a cadence of grace. There is a sound of grace being released. Grace indeed has a sound. There is a grace for things to be born and the grace of things to end. The grace of God is what enables us to do incredible works and to walk with him and not understanding the cadence of that grace can cause us to miss out on Holy Ghost-led opportunities when we're not intentional about meeting those opportunities with a full yes.
It’s important that we remember that walking with God requires complete submission. No more fears, no more doubts. That when you begin to understand the cadence of grace, then when God says move, you move. When God says go, you go. In this scripture, what we see in verse 13 is that when David went back to get the glory from the house of Obededom, that he came back prepared to do things differently, re-carrying the glory.
He came back with a sound mind. The scripture says that when they had bared the ark of the Lord and had gone six paces, that he sacrificed oxen and fatlings. So from Obededom's house to the city of David, every six steps, they stopped and gave sacrifices unto the Lord. This was the solution that was led. When you understand the cadence of grace and you walk fully in that cadence, things that are not like God will begin to break off.
Because you're walking in the grace that comes in and brings your life into divine alignment. As David went to go retrieve the ark, it must have been in his mind that he had left it there for three months and that the blessings of the Lord had come upon the house of Obededom. The blessings of God had reached. And it goes wherever it goes, whether it's in the house of the enemy or not, the glory will perform because the ark of the covenant represented the glory.
Straightaway, open your heart to receive that there is a sound in the atmosphere now full of grace and full of glory. Open your heart to receive that you may not have it all together, but you have a made-up mind and you have the God that created the universe and everything in it. Begin to walk in the cadence of grace. Don't be rushed and don't feel overwhelmed. Remove the fear and begin to be present.
In this case, the cadence of grace is something that you can begin to move into when you're operating with the Holy Ghost as your teacher. When you're operating in relationship with the Lord and when you're moving strategically. The cadence of grace will come upon you and show you when to move, how to move, and how to pivot. It is the cadence of grace that showed David how to go back and carry the glory the right way.
Carry it, giving sacrifices every six paces. It didn't matter how long it took them to get from the house of Obededom to the kingdom that was the city of David. He just did it every six steps with loud shoutings and grace. They blessed the Lord. As you prepare for the day and as you have listened to this devotional or as you're reading it, I pray that you begin to open your heart to the cadence of grace that right now all around you there may be answers that you have not yet considered.
There may be ways being made that you have not yet been prepared for. And the moment that the cadence of grace comes forth, the moment that God releases his power, the moment that walls begin to come down, you will see the blessings of the Lord that make rich and ask no sorrow. This is an hour for the grace, the grace of God to come forth.
This is the place where the Holy Spirit is invited to come in and we can trust that the Lord is fighting for us. Right here, right now, begin to receive the cadence of grace for your life.

My prayer for you: Father, in the name of Jesus, thank you. Thank you for the mighty woman of God. Thank you, God, that she is intentional, that she's reading this devotional, God, that she's doing the work. I thank you, oh God, that it's not by might nor by power, but by your spirit, Lord.
I thank you for shaking some things loose. I thank you for the restoration and I thank you for the grace. I thank you, Lord, that there is no confusion in you, that there is no disorder in you. I thank you for great grace, oh Lord, for straightening some things out that may not look the best, but God, I thank you, Lord.

So I thank you for covering this mighty woman of God and coming forth with great power over all their concerns, over her finances, over her children's children. Lord, let the grace come forth now. I thank you for suddenlies. I thank you for shifts and I thank you for the oil. I thank you for the mighty woman of God and I pray in Jesus' mighty name. Amen, amen and amen.
