Today’s Devotional Scripture: 4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
5 They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them.
6 We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.
- 1 John 4:4-6 KJV
The Message For Today (March 1, 2026):
***Audio Version For Paid members: Greater is He Audio 470
So often we consider the scripture that says My sheep know my voice, and the stranger they do not follow. This is so essential in this day and age, where so many will share their opinion and not the word. So many will guide others according to winds of doctrine that are strange to the body of Christ, but that feel or sound good.
In this generation full of social media videos and opinions and the magnification of what feels good versus what is good, it is so important that we know that greater is the Lord that is in us than he that is in this world. This is bigger than our day-to-day lives, and this is bigger than what we’re feeling from situation to situation.
This is a life journey
This is a life journey of getting to know God, getting to hear His voice intimately, and understanding the voice of the Lord versus the principalities in this world. The darkness in this world. The warfare that we fight is not flesh and blood; it is spirit. It is our thoughts, it is our hearts, and it is us being lifted up in Christ Jesus.
Greater than circumstances and greater than a noise. Getting into a high place with Christ Jesus and simply hearing who He is, hearing the love of the Father, and hearing the heartbeat of God. Hearing hHm in prayer and in fasting and in worship that we may know the voice of our God. That we may be able to discern a counterfeit in the world, we will not follow.
Today, as you go forth in the world, as you go forth to the house of the Lord, as you go forth in worship and in following Christ in every part of your life, remember that it’s not just about following him, it’s about knowing him and that he would know you.
Throughout scripture, we see it, where the Lord wants to know us, we see in Revelation 3:20 how the Lord wants to sup with us, and he knocks on the door of our heart. He knocks that we may open it and fellowship with Him. We see the word of the Lord that encourages sitting in his presence, meditating day and night, that we would have good success and make our way prosperous.
Relationship, not performance
We see the scriptures about sitting in the presence of the living God and knowing Him. There is one that clearly says, Lord, Lord, did I not do all these things in your name? Did I not heal the sick and deliver people in your name? And the Lord responds in Matthew 7:22-23. It states:
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. - Matthew 7:22-23 KJV
This is essential. Having the gifting and the charisma and all of the things, but not knowing him and him not knowing us is the greater sin, is the greater weight. It is the greater roadblock to a life that is authentic in our faith, that is real in our time with God, and that is intimate in knowing the Lord and the Lord knowing us.
So let us be sheep that know the voice of the Lord. Let us be sheep that know His promises are Yes and Amen and follow Him and Him alone, a stranger we will not follow. Let this be the hour that, as you come before the Lord and as you pray and as you seek His face day in and day out, as you meditate before the Lord, as you fast and pray, remember to hear the voice of the Lord.
Know the voice of God. Know his spirit. Endeavor to know, and if you feel like you do not know, the first step is to surrender in prayer. It is to let go and to be honest with the Lord, with your desire to have a real relationship with Him. One that goes beyond the surface, beyond our giftings and beyond religious dictates.
Let us have a relationship with the Lord that is deep, that is rooted and that is fulfilled with good fruit, that we may discern the hand of the Lord, that we would be transformed by the renewing of our mind, that we may know what is the good, acceptable, perfect will of God, which it tells us in Romans 12:1-3 KJV.
This is not the time to surrender our sovereignty of thought, our sovereignty of hearing, and of discerning. This is a season to get before the Lord in prayer, in worship, and in fasting. This is a time to walk with the Lord ever so deeply. Ever the more with a surrendered heart and surrendered will that thy will be done, that the will of the Father be done above all else. That we would know Him and that He would know us.
Closing Devotional Prayer
My prayer for you:
Father, in the name of Jesus, I thank you. I thank you for the mighty woman of God this morning. I thank you, Lord God, that we are surrendered. That together we come together, God, and we just decree, oh God, that we are surrendered in the name of Jesus. Lord, we come before your throne of grace and mercy, and we say thank you, Lord.
Thank you, God, for the blessing of being able to know your voice. Thank you for being the living God, the Holy One, the great I am. Thank you, God, for shifting us. Thank you, God, that we are not alone, that nothing can separate us out of your hand. It tells us in Romans :838-39 that nothing can separate us out of your hand.
So, Lord, I give you glory. You are El Shaddai, our great king. Thank you, Lord, for the blessing. Thank you, God, for the restoration. Thank you for the healing and for the joy. Lord God, you are mighty to save, mighty to deliver. I thank you, God, for the paid members of this devotional. Lord, I thank you, oh God, that they’re sowing their seed, oh God.
Let it be blessed unto them, oh God. Let it be pressed down, shaken together, and running over. Let it be a transformational seed, oh God, that they would receive a return on investment in the spirit, oh God. That their homes would change and that their walks would deepen. Lord, I just bless them for their partnering with us in the name of Jesus.
And for those who are the free subscribers in this community: I thank you, oh God, that they are here, that they are with us today. I thank you for the grace and glory over them that have read to the end of this devotional, that have read through even this prayer.
I thank you, oh God, that the word of the Lord would soak over the mighty woman of God andthat the word of the Lord would strengthen her, oh God, for we know that the word is sharper than any two-edged sword, cleaving soul from spirit.
So, Lord God, I pray that the word of the Lord seep in, that it just fill her heart, oh God, that it be like a shield around her, God. That it be like the armor of God, that this mighty woman of God would know, oh God, that she would rise and that there would be opportunities, oh God, to go deeper with you this morning and this day. I thank you, Lord, and I pray in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.
