Today’s Devotional Scripture: 4 But he himself went a day's journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a juniper tree: and he requested for himself that he might die; and said, It is enough; now, O Lord, take away my life; for I am not better than my fathers.
5 And as he lay and slept under a juniper tree, behold, then an angel touched him, and said unto him, Arise and eat.
6 And he looked, and, behold, there was a cake baken on the coals, and a cruse of water at his head. And he did eat and drink, and laid him down again.
7 And the angel of the Lord came again the second time, and touched him, and said, Arise and eat; because the journey is too great for thee.
8 And he arose, and did eat and drink, and went in the strength of that meat forty days and forty nights unto Horeb the mount of God. - 1 Kings 19:4-8 KJV

Audio Version Of This Devotional: Get Back Up Audio
The battle is not over yet. It may feel like you've had to settle into a certain position. It may feel like you are overwhelmed. It may actually feel like you made a compromise that worked because you didn't know what else to do. However, the battle is not over yet. It's not done and God has the final say.
In this scripture, we see where the Lord sends an angel to speak to Elijah as Elijah is running for his life from the wrath of Jezebel. He decides to just get under a tree, leave it all behind, and just die. He requests to die and goes to sleep in hopes that he won't wake up again. The Lord sends an angel to wake him up and says, eat.
We see in the cornerstone scripture of the devotional where there is bread and water. From where? There's bread and water. He's out there alone, but yet and still there's bread and water for him to eat. He goes back to sleep. He wakes up, the angel of the Lord wakes him up again and says, “Eat some more. Because you don't have enough strength for the journey”. And he ate.
He did eat and this time he ate meat. For 40 days and 40 nights, he went on the strength of that meat, according to verse eight, all the way to Mount Horeb, the Mount of God. In this season, it may feel like just resting and being in the middle is okay. Because you know God loves you and you know that He is going to keep you as he knows what's best for you.
But this is going to take a concerted effort. You're going to have to have enough will to get up, to be refueled, and to be relaunched. In this case, Elijah was told to get up and go. He was given the sustenance he needed to carry him all the way to Mount Horeb. That's a month and a half of not eating.
This is what was necessary for where Elijah was. Right now in this season, you may be in a place where you feel like God is just starting to bring back the life, the joy, and He's just starting to bring in the peace. You may be wondering what's next. Well, what's next is God is saying get up. Get back up, get back on the assignment, get back on the horse, start fighting again, and believe again. He is a good, good God. He's a good God and beside him there is no other.
To get up and to go will require the Holy Spirit. It will require a relationship. It will require your prayer. It will require you to hear the instructions of the Lord and go accordingly. To rise into the woman that you're called to be in this hour will require a yes to the Lord, despite not knowing how you're going to make it.
Despite not knowing if you feel adequate or not, God is still saying get up and go. It's time, it's time to move, and it's time to get where God is sending you. It's time to just follow God completely. No more fear, no more distraction. He has a purpose and a plan for your life. The sensitivity in the spirit through prayer and fasting will help bring clarity to the fullness of that plan.
He will help to activate divine vision in you. You will start to write down dreams and plans again. That is the will of the Father for you to get up. Seeing Elijah's story here in our cornerstone scripture is a reminder that even in your lowest moment, God is faithful to send what you need when you need it. He's faithful to give you what you need to rise again. To arise and go forth in the light of His love and in the strength of His Spirit.
He's equipping you for the long haul. He's equipping you for the next leg of your journey. It's not over yet, it's not done.
Closing Devotional Prayer
My prayer for you: Father in the name of Jesus, I thank you. I thank you for the grace and the glory. I thank you for keeping the mighty woman of God. I thank you that there is nothing too hard for you Lord. The Bible says there's nothing too hard for the Lord.
Thank you God that she's walking that out right now. Thank you Lord that she's ready to do something again. Lord, I'm praying for the courage and for the spirit of a living God to fall upon her now for her to take radical action. I pray that the weighted glory of God will cover her, her body, her heart, her mind, her family and her finances.
I'm praying oh God for the grace to go forth in ways that she has not yet seen, but definitely needs. Lord, I pray for new layers of her identity to come forth in you. Lord, I pray that she begins to discover things about herself that solidifies the journey and solidifies her faith that she is yours and that nothing can separate her from your love, oh God. I thank you for the restoration. I thank you for the peace and I give you glory in Jesus mighty name. Amen.
