Today’s Devotional Scripture: 23 Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.
24 Put away from thee a froward mouth, and perverse lips put far from thee.
25 Let thine eyes look right on, and let thine eyelids look straight before thee.
26 Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established.
27 Turn not to the right hand nor to the left: remove thy foot from evil.
- Proverbs 4:23-27 KJV

Now it's important that I also read that scripture in the message version as well. So we will read it in the message version, and then jump straight into the message.
23-27 Keep vigilant watch over your heart;
that’s where life starts.
Don’t talk out of both sides of your mouth;
avoid careless banter, white lies, and gossip.
Keep your eyes straight ahead;
ignore all sideshow distractions.
Watch your step,
and the road will stretch out smooth before you.
Look neither right nor left;
leave evil in the dust. - Proverbs 4:23-27 MSG
I felt led to read it in the message version today because the message needs to be plain: Watch the gates of your heart, your eyes, and your ears in this season. The enemy is sending out many distractions through politics, through movies, through social media clickbait, and through fear.
All of these things are being contrived almost as if the enemy has put them in a pot and has stirred them up because he wants the world eating out of a chaos pie. He wants us eating, and believing, and chewing, and living in utter chaos, instability, and fear. The Bible says God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
The spirit of fear, the chaos, and the distractions are not from the Lord. There is so much happening in the spirit realm, including movies that are being set up and put out in front of believers as things we should watch. Be careful about allowing things into your home, into your life, and into your heart that are absolutely meant to strike fear in your heart. Be careful of the distractions that are meant to keep you emotionally destabilized and your nervous system irregulated.
There is no peace inside of the chaos that the enemy is bringing forth. When the Bible says that His peace he would leave with us, that if we would keep our minds stayed on him and on the things that he has for us (the good things, the blessed things) that he will keep us in perfect peace. This does not sound like a God that desires to see his children scattered, frustrated, annoyed, full of anxiety and fear. Yet, this is exactly what is being unleashed today.
It is being unleashed in the media, is being unleashed through television programming, and is being unleashed through fear-mongering and rumors of war. The spirit of fear is going out like a wave and in order to stand against it, you must be rooted in the word of the Lord. You must know how to guard your heart because the issues of life indeed flow from it. You must have a mind and a heart to secure your home, to pray over your children, pray over your family, pray over your heart and mind before stepping into things.
Before coming into covenant with people who you may not know their full beliefs or what they may be carrying in their spirit. Be careful in this season to pray over your home, to pray over your children, to pray over your finances, and to pray over your assignment and purpose in the name of Jesus. The weapons of the enemy are strategic in undermining your faith and stopping the kingdom from expanding through your life.
So he will stop you from taking chances, he'll stop you from trusting God. The enemy will stop you from believing in God. He'll stop you from praying consistently. He will tie you up in old sins, old doubts, old fears, and insecurities. The enemy will have you repeating things that you've already graduated from in the spirit because he can create nothing new.
But he knows exactly where your weaknesses are. He knows exactly what issues you have. But praise be to God that God also knows our weaknesses and God also knows what we struggle with. And his grace is sufficient and his strength is made perfect in our weaknesses. God knows how to secure you like nobody else does.
God knows how to keep you and keep you upright with his mighty right hand. He knows how to shift you strategically and order your steps for the Bible says that the steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord. It's time for a shift. It's time for an outpouring of his spirit. It's time to see the weighty glory of God unleashed in this season through your life.
No distractions, no delays, no lowering the gates for the enemy to come in unaware. A mind made up is what is required in this hour. A mind made up to trust God and to follow him wherever he may guide you. Guard your heart. Guard your ear gates. Guard your home. Guard your children.
On Guard Woman of God.
On guard over your family, on guard over your marriage, and on guard over your children. Pray in the name of Jesus, break the hand of the enemy and allow the Lord to have his way. The king of glory is coming in and He is mighty in battle. He has you in the palm of his hands. Trust him. Do not grow weary in doing what is right and what is good, for in due season you will reap a harvest if you faint not.
