The idea that instead of making your life easier by making some things lighter and you casting your cares upon God as it mentions in Matthew Chapter 11:28 - 30. That God would actually make it easier through lifting you, encouraging you and empowering you through difficult situations. It's a little bit different.

It's not as popular in the body of Christ for us to endure great trials because God desires that as a part of the plans for our lives. We are often inundated by feel-good messages of trusting, believing and knowing that he will take care of all of our needs and he will provide and he is Jehovah Jireh and we know these things to be true as well.

Yes, we know that we can cast our cares upon God because he cares for us and we can take on his yoke because his yoke is easy. His burden is light. We know this. However, there are times and seasons when God doesn't make it easier by taking the load.

He doesn't take away the issues. He doesn't fix the problems. He doesn't make it lighter, not because he doesn't love us. He doesn't make it lighter because he desires to strengthen us, to empower us, and for us to operate in the spirit. The fruit of the spirit known as long-suffering.

This devotional is going to break down Psalm 91:12 in a way that prayerfully will forever bless the way you walk out difficult seasons in your life and give you some scriptures that you can armor yourself with as well.
