Today’s Devotional Scripture: 6 Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.
7 And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. - Acts 3:6-7 KJV
10 Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.
11 This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner.
12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. - Acts 4:10-12 KJV

Here in scripture, we see two different verses of scripture, but they are inexplicably linked by one miracle: the miracle of the man at the city gate, that when Peter said, silver and gold have I none, he literally reached out his hand, and in the name of Jesus, picked the man up. And the man who had been that way for years, broken for years, legs were broken, he was sitting there asking for money, immediately he began to walk. He got strength in his limbs, and he began to walk.
Because of this miracle, and the fact that he was sharing that he did it in the name of Jesus, they decided to gather the ruling council. They decided to gather and to judge this, and we see in chapter 4 that it’s coming to bear. And he answers, this was done in the name of Jesus. This is how it was done, because they asked him, How did you do this thing? And he said, we did it in the name of Jesus.”
And they went further in verse number 11 of Acts 4 when they stated, you didn’t place this here, yet it is still the cornerstone, it is the essential builder of our faith, but you guys didn’t place it. That is what he’s saying in verse 11.
God has given us the ability to walk with him, to cast down every care, to come before his throne of grace and mercy, and to pray, knowing that he hears us. The Lord has given us the ability to pray, to speak life, and to see the working of miracle signs and wonders by faith.
God has given us that. But that’s not always something that people want to see. That’s not always something that we in ourselves accept or lean into. The fact that there is a way, and there is a name, and that name and that way is Jesus.
That name and that way is Jesus.
As a matter of fact, He says in scripture that he is the way, the truth, and the life. So in John 14:6, in the King James Version, it states:
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No man cometh unto the Father but by me. - John 14:6 KJV
He established himself with those words and with his actions all the way to Calvary, that he is the only open door and that he is the way. That it was in his name that we were saved and reconciled back to God. No other name, no other door, no other anything.
And so we see the scripture, and we see the glory of the Lord that is made manifest, that we can receive the peace of God. We can receive that he is with us. We can receive that we are not alone. We can receive that in the name of Jesus, we can begin to decree over our lives, over our children, over our finances, over the broken. We can do this in the name of Jesus.
That name is the name that the world wants to disprove was fully God. They want to say that He is just a prophet. They first will tell you He doesn’t exist, and then they look for proof that He did exist, but now they change his status. This is what the world does.
They push it further and further. They want more and more evidence of what we inherently believe as followers of Christ. They want more evidence of His life. They want more evidence of the walk he did to Calvary. They want more evidence. They see Him as a man, not as a deity.
But our God is more than able to bring about great change, to bring about victory in His name. It is for His name’s sake; it’s just his name. That’s it. That is the name by which men can be saved. This is the name by which we can be restored. This is the name by which we can have victory.
When we name the name of Jesus, in the name of Jesus, we walk with him. We serve. We release. We get away from all fear. We tear down every stronghold in Jesus. It’s in his name. We also see in John 41:12, a few verses before: Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do, because I go unto my Father.
The Lord was setting the people up in this passage of scripture to understand that he was moving. He was going somewhere. He knew that his life would end at the cross. He was fully aware, but yet and still attempted to prepare us, to make the way straight for us, to drop as much knowledge as possible in his earthly form, knowing that he was there in the beginning.
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and so we know in the beginning was Jesus. He was there in the beginning. In Genesis 1, he was there, and he was there in the New Testament. He was there, prophesied by his cousin, but the entire book speaks of Jesus, the Messiah, the King of glory, the great I Am.
In the name of Jesus, you can go before the Lord and pray, and you can ask for the Lord to do great works. You can ask for healings and miracles if you believe. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, pick up your bed.
Let us pick up the issues in our lives that have been hindering us, and let us walk on in the fullness of the Lord, that he will give us the wisdom and the revelation on how to break everything that’s not like him, how to break every single stronghold, how to tear down every wall, that the grace and glory of God is all that remains in Jesus’ name.
Closing Devotional Prayer
My Prayer for You:
Lord, I thank you that the mighty woman of God is ready. I thank you for the outpouring of your Spirit. I thank you right now, God, for the grace and the glory of God. You are Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end.
As the mighty woman of God closes this devotional, I pray that her morning be blessed, that her day be covered, that the righteousness of God will cover her and her children’s children. Cover her whole family, O God, for you are the Lord of hope. You are the God of the breakthrough, and you are more than able to do what you said you would do.
I pray in the name of Jesus for everything that’s not like God to break, for every weight to come down, for every stronghold to break and bow in the name of Jesus, because nothing can stand against our God. I thank you, Lord God, for the grace, for the glory, for the love, the peace, and the joy.
In Jesus’ mighty name, amen.
