When you're coming out of one season and stepping into another, it's easy to feel unsettled simply because you don't know quite where everything is going. Things may be going slower than you expect. There may be things that are far beyond your control that are causing anxiety and all you know to do is to trust God in every moment.
It is in these moments that celebrating versus worrying becomes your secret weapon. The moment you realize that this is the peace that God promised, things begin to shift. You can begin to understand that peace doesn't mean knowing every single thing that's about to happen. Peace does not mean having all the information and peace does not mean having all of the control. That is peace the way the world perceives it. However, that is not peace the way that God perceives it.
When we learn to trust God, despite everything that's happening, we step into a different realm. We step into something different. When you look at Philippians chapter 4 in the King James Version, it states,
7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. - Philippians 4:7 KJV
This is the peace that God promised. This is where your strength lies. It lies in being secure despite having no control, not knowing where things are going, and not knowing what's happening. This is the peace that God promised. And if you reject that peace out of the need to control, out of the need to understand, and out of the need to know where everything is going, what's essentially happening is you're rejecting the provision of God. You are rejecting the love of God.
It may be difficult to find someone who is as masculine as you desire for a husband for a lifelong partnership if you are rejecting the provision of God. How can you accept true provision for men? True provision is not more money. Yes, in the world that requires money, we definitely want to know that a man is capable of providing. But true provision is leadership, and instruction. True provision is just being present for you, being there for you, not in the way you think you need, but being present in that they are handling things and you are trusting them to handle things.
Many a relationship has broken and many a marriage has fallen apart because true provision was provided but rejected. There was no trust. There was no respect from the woman to the man. There was no respect. There was no trust. There was no following. There was no submission. This shows up in the relationship you have with God. When you refuse to be at peace because you don't know how everything is going and where it's going, it shows that there's insecurities inside of you.
There are fears, there are doubts, and there are worries. This is a you thing. This is not the world. This is you. This is a decision to release the things you cannot control and completely trust God and the more you learn to trust God, the more you learn to submit and to know that he is in control, not you, the more you release that desperate need to understand, to know, and to control the outcome, the more attractive you become to your husband, to a potential husband, to a potential mate.
The more your life begins to be at ease, the more you can begin to be at peace, the more you can begin to attract the things that you want and need in your life as a daughter of the king. This is important. It is essential. If you're wondering whether or not you have accepted the peace of God, take a look, a real look, at the last few weeks in your life.
Have you rested?
Have you been creative?
Have you moved with God?
Is everything open?
You're so open. You're so trusting. No matter what is happening in your finances, you know God has it in control. No matter what's happening with your husband, it is well. You can trust him. You can trust God. You don't need to know anything. You just need to follow those instructions. You need to trust his direction.
When you reject the provision of God, and you fear it, and you're wondering, and you want to take matters into your own hands because you're going to make it happen? Yes, the world will reward that. The world rewards you not trusting God. The world rewards you not following God. For all of it is vanity. What does it profit a man to gain the whole world and lose his soul?
36 For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? - Mark 8:36 KJV
Yes, there are certain realms in which the stick-to-itiveness and your direct nature and your strength and independence may seem attractive. It may seem attractive in social media. It may seem attractive if you own your own business. It may seem attractive if you are the head of your household, and there is no husband. It's attractive, but truthfully, in order for you to fully see yourself embrace and become the fullness of what God has for you, you must receive the peace that God promised.
Not the peace that you demand or want or that you believe you need, because sometimes that peace is not peace at all. Because then you're tired, you're overworked, you're the person that everybody depends on. Then you know that you're being the peace, not God. You know that you're being the one that's dependable and that everybody can trust. They're not trusting God, they're trusting you. When you trust God, everyone around you must find the God that you trust, because you're no longer filling that place.

You're no longer making it happen. You're no longer taking care of and fixing everything. When you decide to trust God, everything and everyone around you can begin to do the same. When you begin to heal from the need to fix everything, be there, be present, be on demand, fix it, take care of it, that's when everything around you can flourish and grow. There may be this fear that if you don't do it, then who will?
Do you not have a Father in heaven that loves you? Do you not have a God that has provided for you season after season after season? Are you not ready to rest? Are you not ready to trust? Be like Ruth who followed the instructions of Naomi that were very unusual, but essentially resulted in her becoming the espoused of Boaz and birthing a child. Being redeemed because she trusted the instructions of Naomi, the elder, the mother, because Naomi sought to give her rest.
This is the season to rest, to trust God, to not be overwhelmed. When you read in Ruth chapter 3, verse 1, it says,
Then Naomi her mother in law said unto her, My daughter, shall I not seek rest for thee, that it may be well with thee? - Ruth 3:1 KJV
So she gave her instructions. As you continue reading chapter 3, you will see that she gave her instructions. You will see that there was a trust. You will see that there was peace, and following, and accepting that peace, and doing things that were a little bit unusual. You see that by following the instructions of the elder that was Naomi, that Ruth stepped into being redeemed. The promises of God are yes and man over your life.
The first promise is that if you keep your mind stayed on thee, that He will keep you in perfect peace. Philippians 4:6 says,
6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. - Philippians 4:6-7 KJV
These two verses of scripture are a complete promise from God. Don't worry about anything. Don't fear anything. Don't take on any care. It is not your concern. Give it to the man in your life. Give it to the God that you serve. Release it completely and create room for everything that you desire, including marriage if you're single, including a husband that loves and completely cares for you, if you're already married.
You will find that the moment that you are careful for nothing and that you take everything to God in prayer and you really allow that man to lead for those who are married, you will begin to see the shift come in. This is what God promised you. This is the peace that He has promised you as a woman of God. So we don't do things like the world.
We're in the world, but not of it. That we are not to be conformed to this world and the patterns that are in it. We're not to think like this world. We're not to adapt to the world. We're to be apart from it, even while we are yet in it. We are to be the light on the hill and a literal demonstration that God can bless the woman who trusts him. It says in Romans, verse 12:2-3,
2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
3 For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith. - Romans 12:2-3 KJV
God has given you a measure of faith. Trust in God. Take hold of the promise of peace that He has given you, and let everything else fall away. Slowly but surely, things are going to begin to line up, and your life will begin to reflect the love and the peace of God.
Closing Devotional Prayer
My prayer for you: Father, in the name of Jesus, thank you. Thank you for the mighty woman of God. Thank you for being a keeper, O God. Thank you, God, that you have supplied all of our needs, according to your riches in glory. And God, I know in my heart that you will continue to do so, that you are faithful, that, Lord, you are mighty, that you are fighting for the mighty woman of God.
She doesn't have to fight her own battles. She can trust you, God, to guide her into a new season, into a greater outpouring and expression of your spirit. Lord, she can become the demonstration. I thank you right now that her heart is opening to all that you have for her. I thank you that for every woman reading this devotional, for every woman tapping in, there's a grace in the glory. As she listens, as she reads, O God, the weight is coming off of her shoulders.
Tension will be coming down. I thank you, Lord God, that this is answering questions about relationships, life, and love. Because you are God and all of these things matter to you. All of these things in our life, they matter to you. You care about the things that concern us. So, Lord, I give you glory and I bless your name for movement, for grace, for peace, and for joy. I thank you, Lord, and I pray in Jesus' mighty name. Amen.
