Today’s Devotional Scripture: 2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;
3 To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he might be glorified. - Isaiah 61:2-3 KJV

The anointing of God comes to break the yoke. It is the power of God poured out from heaven. Poured out on all flesh and poured out in a way where we can receive the empowerment of the Holy Spirit. In and out of season, the oil of anointing, the oil of God, the oil of joy comes forth to heal, to deliver, and to break free.
When we begin to receive that there is an anointing for joy, that there is an outpouring of His Spirit, it removes the weight for us attempting to find our own way out or attempting to figure out how to be able to bring joy back into our lives. Joy is not dependent on our actions. It is not dependent on circumstances. The oil of joy, the outpouring of His Spirit, happens regardless of our circumstances and regardless of the weight of this world.
He is still holy.
He is still God, and he is more than able.
When we look to the hills from which cometh our help, we are immediately telling the environment that we trust in Him. We trust the Lord, we are empowered by His Spirit, and we will continue to believe regardless of what is happening in the atmosphere. Regardless of what is happening in our circumstances, we will believe the Lord our God. We will believe the impossible. We will believe in miracles, signs, and wonders. We will believe.
And in exchange, we give Him the worry. We give Him the weight. We give Him the cares. We give him the anxieties. We surrender it, knowing that these things cannot add a moment to our lives. All of the pain, all of the worry, all of the figuring it out, all of the frustration cannot add to the value of our lives. Not by a day, not by an hour (Matthew 6:27 KJV).
But when we surrender to the Lord our God, and we decide to stay rooted in the moment where the very present help can actually help us right here, then there is a sudden release (Psalm 46:1 KJV). There is a shift that happens. We are no longer looking to the future or stuck in the past.
We are bravely in this moment with the King of Glory, receiving the oil for this moment, receiving the grace that is sufficient for this moment. Receiving that we don’t always have it all together, and we don’t need to. We only need to be open to God, submitted to his love, and ready to move when he tells us to move.
That is it. He doesn’t require performance. He doesn’t require perfection. He only requires our hearts. Our yes. Submitted, trusting, loving, and ready to go when He says go. For He is our great God. He is our healer. He has sent the Holy Spirit, the Comforter, to walk with us, to walk within us, and to go exceedingly, abundantly above all that we could ask or think, according to the power that is at work within us.
That Holy Spirit power comes forth to move mountains. It comes forth to bring about great change. It comes forth for those who believe and those who receive the glory of our God, the outpouring of His Spirit, the empowerment that comes from the Lord our God, who is mighty to save and mighty to deliver.
This is the opportunity for us to walk with Him, to be full of favor, to be full of glory, and to walk with power, whether it is night or whether it is day. To crush the serpent beneath our heels; that is what the Lord has given us in His Spirit. That is what the oil of joy represents.
No matter what is happening, we will glorify the Lord. No matter how heavy a thing may be, we will lift Him up, and we will pursue, in the name of Jesus, the glory of the Lord. For He is righteous and he is more than able. He is worth our pursuit. He is worth our worship. He is worth our submission. We can trust in the Lord. Above all else, we can trust in our God.
Closing Devotional Prayer
My Prayer for You:
Father, in the name of Jesus, thank you. Thank you, God, that your mercies are new every morning. Thank you for covering the mighty woman of God. Thank you for great grace over her and over all that concerns her. I thank you, Lord God, for the outpouring of your Spirit. I thank you right now for the weighted glory of God.
I thank you, O God, that as she rises this morning, as we release every old thing, that the breaker anointing come upon her now, the oil of joy for the spirit of heaviness, right in this moment, God. I pray that everything is not like it would break. I thank you, Lord, and I pray in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.

Good morning, sweet saint. I am so thankful for the sweet Spirit of God, the oil of joy, the joy of the Lord that is my strength.
