Opening Prayer:
Father, thank you so much for this mighty woman of God. Thank you for this moment. I thank you, God, that as she is preparing to rest tonight, as she’s preparing to go to sleep, oh, God, I’m praying, God, that the blessing of the Lord will cover her and cover her family.
I pray that a day well done, oh, God, will be wrapped up like a bow, oh, God, wrapped up like a pretty present, for now is the moment, oh, God, to let go. To let go of all that transpired, to release every weight, for you are with her, oh, God.
You love her, oh, God. You are faithful, God, and I just thank you, God, for this moment, that there is a rest that is coming upon her, a grace that is being released for her to have sweet sleep in Jesus’ name. Amen.
As you begin to rest tonight, keep in mind that the enemy tries his best to come at you when it is the midnight hour. When you’re tired, when the day has been overwhelming, and when it feels like you didn’t get as much done as you could have.
When it feels like the day got away from you, and you’re looking at the issues of life and wondering, “How much longer, God? How much longer until the end? How much longer until the breakthrough? Lord, when will things get better?” Remember that it is here that the enemy desires to try to sift you as we, but the Lord is interceding for you.
31 And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat:
32 But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren. - Luke 22:31-32 KJV
He is covering you. No matter how hard the day has been and no matter what is pressing at you for tomorrow, here and now, the Lord is a very present help. He is our great God. He is with you, and you are not alone. As you look at the issues of life, as you see all the things that you wish could have happened better today, remember that here and now, you have the breath in your lungs. You have the capacity to hear.
God is with you, and you are here under the grace and glory of God. This is the moment that everything can change, that you can let everything else go and step into the new season, step into a fresh wind, and step into the blessing of the Lord, even if you don’t see it.
Having the ability to speak it, to decree it, and to believe is the thing that the Lord is waiting for from you. A confession of your faith, a holding on in the midnight hour, and pressing into the presence of the living God. These are the things that hold. These are the things that keep you grounded. These are the things that keep you in perfect peace.
He is right here, right now, and He is not abandoning you.
He is not abandoning your family.
He is not abandoning your marriage.
He is covering you, but hold on. Hold fast. The hand of God is upon you. The hand of God is covering you. There is nothing that can take you out of the hand of God. There is nothing that can separate you from His love. These are the promises of God.
This is the truth of His word. Remember this as you rest tonight. Remember this as you bless His name. Remember this as you lift up your hands and lift up the Most High God above everything, above the politics, and above the noise. Above all the heavy things. Allow the Lord to bless you, to refresh you, and to renew you in His presence. May the Lord bless you until the next time. Have a blessed night.
