Opening Prayer:
Father, in the name of Jesus, thank you. Thank you, O God, that we’ve made it through another night. I bless you, God, for the mighty woman of God. I thank you, God, that she is here now. Lord, I thank you, God, that we’ve made it here, O God, to a place of rest.
I pray that whatever is going on in her home, whatever is going on in her life, that you give her the power, O God, to put it down, to lay down her heavy burdens, and to sit in your presence. I pray, God, that she would just rest. In her rest, I pray, O God, that the mighty woman of God recover. I pray, God, that she be refilled, God.
I thank you for all of the pouring she has done today for others, for her family, for her job, for her extended family, her ... I just thank you, God, that this mighty woman of God, to her friends, others, that she is pouring. In the midst of that pour, Lord, I pray, O God, that she be restored in the name of Jesus.
I thank you right now, O God, that you are singing over her, O God, that you are blessing the mighty woman of God. I thank you for your presence, which brings us much peace. Thank you for your presence, O God, which brings us much power. Lord, you are good, and your mercy endures forever.
Thank you, God, for just breaking everything. Lord, God, I thank you right now for the shift. The mighty woman of God is more than able. Lord, I thank you right now that there is an outpouring, God, that there is a move, that she is receiving, that she is at rest, and that in the midst of all that she is dealing with in her life, that she knows in this moment that she is your daughter, and she is cared for, and that she is loved.
Let every weight come down. All of the things, O God, that she’s been working on, the to-do list, O God, the press that she’s been in her heart, allow that to break in the name of Jesus. Show her, God, that there’s a better way, for Lord, God, our way, our way is one way. But Lord, God, your ways are not our ways, and your thoughts are not our thoughts. Higher are your ways, O God, than everything in this earth. Higher. Hallelujah.
So I thank you, God, that the mighty woman of God is receiving the peace of God now. I thank you, Lord, and I pray in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.
Tonight, as you lay down the heavy burdens, and maybe you put the children to bed, or you lay your puppies down for the night, or, you know, you put your feet up, and you wonder:
God, am I doing what pleases you?
Am I doing what fulfills your heart?
Have the courage tonight, mighty woman of God, to ask the hard questions between you and God, that there’s more that he desires of you.
Ask him. Ask for that recalibration in your heart. Ask for things to be straightened in the Spirit. Ask for the outpouring of His love to be in you. Ask Him if you’re doing too much, if you’re overextending yourself, if you’re overthinking, overperforming.
Ask Him, and he will show you where there can be a line, a boundary, a place of peace, a soundness of mind, an intention in your language, your words, and all that you do, so that it pleases God.
Not that you’re looking for the performative A‑plus from man, but that it pleases the Lord, all that you do. For the Bible tells us that all that we do is not unto man, but what we do, we do unto the Lord. I thank you right now. Thank you, Jesus. All that we do is unto the Lord.
As we sit tonight in His presence, as we sit with a notebook, a pen, start flowing, start thanking God, start writing out the things that have caused you to feel one way or another. Yes, we have friends, we have our social circles, we have our family, our sisters, our mothers, but get a pen and get a notebook and start to flow.
Writing out the things that are still frustrating to you, the things that are still overwhelming, the things that are still on your heart and mind. Just begin to write it out, how it feels, just begin to flow and release it.
And as you begin to flow and release those things, I pray that the Lord refills you with his Spirit, with his love, and with his joy. For our God is able, he is unimaginable in his ability to shift things, because we can depend on him, but God is not predictable. We can trust in him, he’s dependable, but he’s not predictable.
We can trust that He knows exactly what he’s doing. He knows what he has planned for us, and we can sit with him to unlock the mysteries. We can sit with Him to receive the restoration.
We can rest before Hm to know that our rest is worthy, and that it’s not a privilege, it is a God‑given right to be still, to rest, to trust before the Lord, and that everything is going to begin to respond when you take hold of that right.
When you take hold of the rest that is the blessing of God, that sudden shifts, open doors, and breakthroughs will come upon you. Rest is our portion. Rest is trust, it is faith. When we trust God, everything else has to fade away, for he is God alone.
I pray tonight, that as you rest, that everything breaks that is not like God. All the tension, all the fear, all the worry, all the anxiety, let it bow now in the name of Jesus. And rest, woman of God, in his presence. Rest in His Spirit, and rest knowing that you are loved. Good evening. I’ll see you in the next Evening Devotional. Good night.
