Audio Version Of This Devotional: Start From Here Audio
God is so faithful that even when we feel like we've messed up, that we've gone too far off the mark, or that we strayed too far from his glory and his presence, he is faithful to remind us in Scripture that we have the ability and the grace to let things go.
That no matter how far we are into the wilderness of our situations, no matter how lacking or dry it may feel in our lives, that he can make a way, and that he will create rivers for us, that he will sustain and provide in ways that we may not feel that we can do for ourselves. The grace of God this morning is being released for you to let go, and start here.
Make a commitment this day that you will let go of the former things, the weight of this world, every mistake and every misstep you've made. Today is a brand new day. Remove the shame, the fear, put it down at the feet of the cross, and trust that God is restoring and redeeming you. You do not have to carry this from day to day. You do not have to carry this through situations.
This is not something that's sticking to you. The grace and glory of God makes all things new. The anointing of God comes to break the yoke. The anointing through fasting and prayer comes to uproot and tear down every stronghold. God is able to do what he said that he would do. Regardless if the situation feels the best or not, he is still God.
Regardless of how devastating the misstep, the mistake, or the situation may be right now, God is still able. No matter what the negative report is, God can shift it. He can turn things around. We will receive the report of the Lord. That is our job as believers, and prayerfully that is an opportunity that you take hold of today, that you will release the former things, that you will let go of yesterday, that even the things you wish were already happening and working out in your favor, God says it will work and it is still working.
There is nothing too hard for the Lord. He can change everything today. I want you to wash away everything that has transpired in the last few weeks, months, years. Release that weight and decide today to become a new creature in Christ Jesus. Start here with the vision and the dream that God purposed in your heart. Let go of yesterday.
Take hold of his promises, which are yes and amen. God is so faithful. What he's doing in this hour is so different. What I want you to do is I want you to grab hold of his promises. I want you to break every wall. I want you to shift now in the name of Jesus into possibility and hope. Put your mind on these things. The Bible says to put your mind on these things, whatever is good, whatever is lovely, whatever is a good report, and that the Lord will give you peace.
So the Philippians 4 chapter 8 in the King James Version says:
8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
9 Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you. - Philippians 4:8-9 KJV
Start here. Start right now. Take hold of your heart and mind today. Take hold of God's sovereignty, of his ability to turn every situation around and restore you. This is your time and your moment to be still before the Lord and know that he's able to do what he said he would do. He is a restorer. He is our God and beside him there is no other. Break away from every insecurity, every fear, every bit of lack and trust God. Trust him.
His mercies are new every single morning. Don't be afraid. Don't get discouraged. Do not be overwhelmed. Remember these things. Keep your mind on these things and start from this moment. Start here and start now.
Closing Devotional Prayer
My prayer for you. Father in the name of Jesus, I thank you. I thank you for the mighty woman of God. I thank you for the grace and the glory. Lord, I pray in the name of Jesus that every wall come down. Allow your grace and glory to be released like never before. I thank you right now for the outpouring of your spirit this morning.
That right now, God, your arms, your heart is open, oh God. We can cast our cares before you because God, we know you care for us. According to Matthew chapter 11:28-30, you are waiting on us, oh God, to cast our cares for your yoke is easy and your burden is light. I thank you for the grace, oh God, and the power that is being released by your spirit.
Thank you, God, that the comforter of God is coming forth for the mighty woman of God and that she can prepare knowing, God, that you're placing her feet on solid ground. It says in 1 Peter 5:10 that you yourself, oh God, will establish, strengthen, solidify her, that you will plant her, God, in solid spaces, that you'll put her on the firm foundation.
So I thank you, God, for the grace and the glory. I thank you for blessing her, God. I thank you for closing old doors and I thank you, God, that she can let go of her old reality and today take hold of something new. I thank you, Lord, and I pray in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.
