The Spirit of the Lord guides us in our day-to-day. He guides us by His Holy Spirit. He guides us in all truth. He guides us through Scripture and through conviction in the Holy Spirit. He pierces our hearts, and many times He brings to our remembrance what the Lord has said about us.

So the Holy Spirit serves a beautiful purpose of reminding the believer in Jesus Christ how to get back to the place where God called us, how to get back into the divine position with Jesus. Here in this scripture, in the cornerstone scripture for today, we see how our mouth is a powerful tool.

The words of our mouth, the power of our tongue, decreeing a thing, all of these terms have to do with the utterances of our hearts and the utterance of our mouth. When we are walking with the Lord, and we are being encouraged, empowered, uplifted, and brought into the Spirit of Truth by the Holy Spirit, we can begin to discern when our hearts are angry, when our hearts are full of unforgiveness, when our hearts are full of things that will cause our mouths to err against the Lord, to err against our destiny, to be in conflict with our divine identity.

Murmuring and Complaining

We see it all through the book of Exodus and in the book of Numbers. We see that the children of Israel murmured against Moses. They murmured against Moses and Aaron (Numbers 14:2 KJV). They murmured, and they complained so much that the wrath of the Lord was kindled multiple times through the book of Numbers. These murmuring people, complaining people is how the Lord described them.
