The Message For Today (August 27, 2024):

**Audio Version Of This Devotional: Shift Into Favor Audio

In this season, moving with God will look like creating a thing, changing things, and moving physically into a new state and place of being. The shift into favor in this hour will be an indication of the obedience of the believer and how quickly changes are made that align with the shift. In this scripture in Acts chapter 2, this is the day of Pentecost. This is the day we see the power of the Holy Spirit released into those who have been praying in the upper room.

We see the Spirit of God come in as a mighty rushing wind and the cloves of fire are sitting on each of the 120 that were in that room praying that morning. They gather there as instructed by Jesus, because they know that there is to be some kind of movement and some kind of change. They know it, they expect it, and they're in position for it with this shift. The release of the power of the Holy Spirit in that room after they came together to pray with a sound mind is a beautiful demonstration of what happens when you trust God.

When you walk with the Lord, our God, and when you begin to move in the instructions that He grants, favor is released through the power of the Holy Spirit. Then it becomes easy because there is a pathway that is being set by living faith. Remember that the Bible says that faith without works is dead.

¹⁷ Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.

¹⁸ Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works. - James 2:17-18

So, faith that is steadfastly connected to movement and that is walked out physically by the people of God will always open up transformation. It will always open up breakthrough. Lives change when believers step into living faith, come together, pray, and proceed to walk with God. Whether it be intercession in their finances or whether it be changes in their lifestyles, there is an outpouring of His Spirit that lines up supernaturally. There's a grace and a glory.

That grace and that glory are automatic when you have believers like Peter who walks on the water at one word from Jesus, “Come”. From that word you see Peter begin to walk on the water as if it was solid ground. You see in Joshua chapters five through seven where together the believers, at the instruction of God, cross over the river Jordan to come into Canaan, the promised land. In doing this they see an ocean open up. They see the river Jordan split and the Israelites once again cross over a large body of water on dry land.

This is shifting into favor. Not by might, not by power, but by his Holy Spirit. Seeing the transformation and the change is what dictates whether or not you actually see the miracle. The miracle, the transformation, and the mindset shift all happen as a result of shifting into favor, moving when it doesn't quite make sense, and having the earnest expectation that God is moving on your behalf. This morning commit to “Yes”.

Commit to crossing over. Commit to this new seed.

Closing Devotional Prayer

My prayer for you: Father in the name of Jesus, I thank you. I thank you for forward movement. I thank you for great grace and for the outpouring of your spirit. Thank you God that the mighty woman of God is not alone.

She's ready to move according to your will and into your way. She's saying yes oh God to this shift. Yes to rising into the instruction that comes by way of faith, that comes by way of hearing. I thank you that you're speaking to her God. Ways are being made. There is nothing missing and nothing broken.

I thank you for the pouring out of your spirit. Bless the mighty woman of God that as she leaves this devotional for the day and as she starts her day, that you'll begin to show her oh God ways in which she can begin to shift in her life, in her ministry, and in her business. I thank you that things are lining up supernaturally for the glory of the Lord to be revealed through this mighty woman of God. I thank you Lord and I pray in Jesus mighty name. Amen.
