Opening Prayer:
Father, in the name of Jesus, thank you, thank you God, that we’ve made it through another day. I thank you, God, that we are here now, that traveling mercy and your grace have kept us. I thank you, oh God, that as the mighty woman of God settles in tonight, that the weight of the day begins to fade away.
I thank you, God, through all of the issues, through all of the things that we have faced, that we’ve made it to this very moment. Lord, I bless your holy name. I thank you, God, for you are the sovereign God, the holy one. You know, oh God, what the mighty woman of God has faced today.
You know, the overwhelming odds, the hidden things, oh God, that you’ve protected us from, you already know. So I thank you, God, I bless your holy name. I thank you right here, right now, God, that as the mighty woman of God begins to rest tonight, that her mind can clear, that there could be a divine peace that clears everything. I thank you, God, for the release. For you are God alone. Have your way King of Glory.
Lord, if the mighty woman of God sleeps tonight, cover her, God, cover her, God, in the name of Jesus, rejoice over her, God, with singing as it tells us in Zephaniah 3:17, that you rejoice over us with singing, oh God. I thank you God, that your presence, God, is with her, that she is at rest.
That her heart and mind are at rest, that all matter of distractions and delays will break, that her sleep, oh God, will be full and that it will be lovely in you, Christ Jesus, for you are mighty to save and mighty to deliver. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, oh God, but you deliver us from them all. So Lord, I thank you and I bless you in Jesus mighty name. Amen.
Life can get really overwhelming. The last few days have been full of Good Friday, Resurrection Sunday, family events, family dinners, and holiday antics. All of this has possibly drained us. Things that have just been testing and testing and testing. But here and now, we can lay those things down.
We can lay down every heavy burden. We can lay down the weight, and we can trust that the Lord is doing a new thing. Through all of life’s issues, through all of the weight that you may be dealing with, God is right there in the midst. Take a deep breath. Breathe in this moment and know that the sovereign God is right here with you. You are not alone.
The weight of glory is with you. The grace and glory of the Lord is going before you. Everything that has stood between you and peace has to break; everything standing between you and your next season has to move. Nothing can stand before Jehovah. Our God reigns in all of the heavens and all of the earth. He is God alone.
There is no one else. There is no other God. Nothing can stand against them. If God be for us, who can be against us? The grace and glory of the Lord is here now, bringing about peace, bringing about joy, breaking every stronghold, and releasing the kind of peace that just permeates your home, that settles your heart and mind, and that removes the weight of the day.
Regardless of what’s happening right now, the children could be screaming in the next room, or something could be going on with your finances or with your spouse. But this moment is the moment for you and God. This moment is the moment where you take hold of the confession of your faith.
This is the moment where you find peace in Christ Jesus, and the weight and glory of God covers you, covers your children, covers your home, covers your finances, covers everything. Whatever weight has been coming against you, I’m praying that it breaks so that you may experience the kind of peace that only comes in the presence of the living God.
The kind of peace that goes beyond having more than enough money in the bank. The kind of peace that goes beyond having the largest network or knowing the most people. Those things are all good, but nothing can stand against the Lord. Nothing is greater than having the peace of God, which goes beyond all understanding, for he is God in the midst of us.
Tonight, remember that the same God who sent his son for us, that same God is here now. Take refuge in the fact that Jesus, the King of glory, our hope in the earth, walked this thing out and slept in the middle of storms because he knew who our Father is, because he trusted our God. He knew that He was covered.
Relax tonight, knowing that He is God. Be at peace knowing that your rest is essential. Know that you can sleep in the middle of your storms. You can sleep in the middle of what feels like the end. God is still able, and he is providing in the midst. Have a good night, and I’ll see you in the next Night Light Devotional.
