Today’s Devotional Scripture: 3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.
6 And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.
7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. - Revelation 21:3-7 KJV

Here we see in the last book of the Bible, a demonstration of God making all things new. We see a demonstration of His power and his glory and his might to be able to let all things pass away and transform what looks like barren, what looks like it is lost, and what looks as if it is finished. And He transforms that thing that looks dead and that looks like it's done into something alive and living.
He makes all things brand new. Even though in the now it may seem as if it is done, God has the ability to restore all that was lost, to renew, to bring about a swift change where something old becomes new again. God is the master at shaping our lives. He's intentional about the plans that he has towards us, that he thinks of us to give us a future and a hope. Because our God is intentional and because he reigns over the earth, there's nothing that God can't do about your situation right now.
There is nothing that is beyond his capacity to restore and renew by grace. And the Bible says it's by grace that we've been saved. In that scripture, when you read it, it is very clear that we do not save ourselves and we do not fix our own problems. When we look at the scripture, we can actually read word for word what God meant when he said by grace we are saved. When you go to Ephesians 2:8-9, it says:
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. - Ephesians 2:8-9 KJV
So yes, we don't save ourselves. We don't fix our mess. We walk with God that we may have a different mindset, that we may not be conformed to the limitations of this world, but that we may be renewed and that we may be restored by His will and his way. Romans 12:2-3 says that we are to not be conformed to this world, but rather being transformed by the renewing of our mind.
2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
3 For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith. - Romans 12:2-3 KJV

So over and over again through scripture, we're seeing that renewal theme. We're saying that God makes all things new theme. We're seeing things line up, that He is the God that restores and that he is the God that makes all things new. We're seeing the constant reminders through the scriptures of his faithfulness. Why then do we believe that God cannot do the impossible? Why do we believe that he cannot restore what was lost and bring forth great increase suddenly?
Why do we not believe God at the capacity in which we are able? It is because it's difficult as a people to receive the grace and glory of God when all of society tells you that everything you have, you have to earn, that everything you get, you have to have worked hard for it. But you can't work hard for salvation. You can't work hard enough to be saved by God. That's not how this works.
As it says in Ephesians, we are saved through grace by faith. We're saved through the grace of God by the fact that we believe that is it, not not due to works, not due to our own power, nor our own strength. So in this hour, the refreshing and the restoration of Christ Jesus may look like old things passing away. It may look like it's something being dead and gone. It may look like old doors being closed for God is bringing forth something new.
So celebrate the end of a thing. Celebrate when things close down and shut down unplanned. Thank God through every fiery circumstance in every trial, because the testing of your faith is more precious than gold. It is your faith that allows you to receive the renewal, the refreshing, and the restoration of Christ Jesus. It is by faith that you can see the fullness of the Lord in the land of the living.
It is by faith that you release every old thing and receive that the new has come. Whose report will you believe this morning? Choose to believe the report of the Lord.
Closing Devotional Prayer
My prayer for you: Father, in the name of Jesus, thank you. Thank you, God, for supplying all of our needs according to your riches and glory. Thank you, God, for movement. Thank you, God, that ways are being made. There's nothing that you cannot do, oh God. There's nothing beyond your capacity. So Lord, I give you glory and I bless your holy name.
I thank you for the fire of God. I thank you, God, that all things are being made new. Please Lord, break every barrier, every chain. Lord, God, unlock the doors that the enemy has tried to keep closed and close the doors that the enemy has tried to keep open and allow the grace and the glory of God to be released suddenly for healing of hearts, minds, bodies.
For things that have been long suffering chains and, you know, resistant issues, things that have literally remained in this fleshly realm. Lord, God, we pray that it be bound now in the name of Jesus and broken, that everything that is not like you would break and that we will see the fullness of the Lord in the land of the living.
You are God alone. So I thank you, God, for increased peace and joy in this restoration process. I thank you, Lord, and I pray in Jesus' mighty name, Amen.
