Today’s Devotional Scripture: 8 Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness:
9 When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my works forty years.
10 Wherefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, They do alway err in their heart; and they have not known my ways.
11 So I sware in my wrath, They shall not enter into my rest.)
12 Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God. - Hewbrews 3:8-12 KJV

Audio Version Of This Devotional: Open Your Heart Audio
This season requires an open heart, one that trusts God completely, no matter what. As the world is shifting and as society is on the brink of utter destruction in their hatred of everything Christ-centered, remember to open your heart. In this scripture, we see in Hebrews, Chapter 3:8 through 12, where a hardend heart is likened unto unbelief.
As the Lord here speaks, He says, “When your fathers tempted me, proved me, saw my works forty years”, yet and still this generation did not trust God. After seeing the works, after seeing the favor, after seeing God open up oceans and become all that they needed, they doubted God. They doubted His ability to provide for Him. They erred in their hearts. And one thing here in verse 12 says, “evil heart of unbelief”. The evil heart of unbelief may seem a little odd.
But that is what is required. The scripture states that without faith, it is impossible to please God. That would mean that having no faith makes it difficult for you to walk with God completely, to be in agreement with God. Our desire is to love on Him and to trust in Him and to walk with Him as believers. However, the biggest thing that we can do, which is trust God, is something that we find difficult to do with the way the world is today.
It would be easy to trust God if things were easier, if joy was easier, if love was present, if we were a nation of Christian values, if there was a different embodiment and people were kinder and nicer. But that is not the way the world is. It has gotten more difficult to walk with Christ. It has gotten more difficult to trust God in the way that the systems are set up. It is almost as if a nation of family values is not possible.
How can you be a stay-at-home mom and your husband completely provide when it requires two, sometimes three incomes to sustain a household, to keep up with the cost of living? All of these systems in place are in place through a Babylonian system to keep you from having God-centered and Christ-centered mindsets. Here in the United States, we are one of the last Christian nations, according to claim. We're one of the last nations of advancement and drive.
We're one of the last nations that are pro-businesses and pro-creating wealth, whereas many other nations have moved into, totalitarian states or overseer states where there's little to no freedoms to defend oneself. There's little to no freedoms to be able to provide the way that you desire for your children. Here in the States and in a few other countries across the globe, Christian values still reign supreme.
It won't always be that way and it's difficult when, little by little, everything here: the music, the culture, the systems, are created to keep you from living a godly life, to push you further and further into an ungodly mindset, for you to go deeper and deeper into beliefs that are contrary with that are contrary with what we believe as followers of Christ. Yet and still, the best thing to do, the best way for you to fight, is to trust God completely. The best way for you to fight is to trust Him, to raise your children in the way of the Lord, to remember the Lord your God, and to keep your heart open for possibilities.
There is a way that we live that is unlike the world, and that we follow the prompting of the Holy Spirit. We walk in the Word of the Lord. This is not something that non-believers think is smart or wise to do. In many cases, we are considered uneducated. In many cases, we are considered hateful and vengeful and controlling. That is not the identity that we have as believers. We're full of love, compassion, but we hold a standard. We hold a standard to how we want to live, how we want our children to live and so this day, I see you, and I pray that you keep your heart open.
You keep your heart focused on Jesus. You trust Him in a land that pushes you every day not to trust Him. That you wait on Him in a land that wants to push you through fear, to move too quickly, too soon. This is not the way. Do not close off your heart. Do not harden your heart. Trust God. Keep your heart open. Love on Him. Love on others. Operate in compassion, and remember that God is a very present help in a time of trouble. Trust Him.
Closing Devotional Prayer
My prayer for you, Father, in the name of Jesus, I thank you. I thank you for the mighty woman of God. I thank you, God, for her listening in or reading in on this devotional. I thank you, God, that the grace and the glory is going forth in an unusual way. Lord God, there are no distractions. Lord, I thank you, oh God, that we are indeed in a new season.
Lord God, I thank you for the breakers anointing here and now, where the enemy has no authority. Lord, cast down every vain thing. Hallelujah, every fear has to come down. And Lord, allow us to see clearly, oh God, what the enemy does not want us to see.
Give us discernment, oh God, in the Holy Ghost to be able to understand the nuance of a thing. Show us, God, how to keep our hearts open and to keep our ear inclined to heaven. For Lord, you are our God, and besides you, there is none other. There are no idols that come before you, oh God. There is nothing that stands above you, Lord. I thank you, and I pray in Jesus' mighty name. Amen.
