Today’s Devotional Scripture: 14 Is any thing too hard for the Lord? At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son. - Genesis 18:14 KJV

There are things that we deem impossible that are completely possible for God. There are things that we’ve relegated to the fantastic, to the “never going to happen,” and to the “maybe one day, but not now” situation. There’s always this future date of possibility versus the faith that God can do anything in the very moment we are in.
You see the most resistance when you are ready to shift and grow with God, when you’re ready to walk with God, when you’re committing your life to Him, when you’re following God through all of life’s stages. You see the most resistance from those who often tell you what is possible based on their belief, based on their understanding, based on their limited view and perspective of the world, and that is not the will of the Father.
Greater than unbelief.
It is not the will of God that you would take on the unbelief of this world as your own. It is not the will of God that the newsreel would be louder than his voice. It is not the will of God that social media and talking heads and different opinions from different politicians and different political commentators from the left and from the right be louder than his voice. That was never the will of God. That was never His intention.
And we see it in scripture when we see in 1 Kings 19 how the prophet Elijah is reminded that the Lord was not in the earthquake, He was not in the fire, and He was not in the wind, but there was a still, small voice. That still, small voice is at work right this moment, day in and day out.
The Lord is always speaking.
He’s always pouring. He is faithful to remind us of who He is. He is faithful to remind us of what He has done. He’s faithful to bring back to our remembrance blessings and miracles past to help us anchor in this moment in the blessed assurance that God is with us.
So when we look to the newsreel and when we look to the opinions of those around us, when we look to the unbelief of some of the ones who are closest to us, it is wise to be like the man who sat on the street on the edge of town as Jesus came through. They reported that Jesus of Nazareth was coming into town, and the man began to cry out to God (in the form of Jesus), and they tried to silence Jim. And he cried out ever the more.
We see this in Scripture, in Luke 18:38-41 in the King James Version. It states:
38 And he cried, saying, Jesus, thou son of David, have mercy on me.
39 And they which went before rebuked him, that he should hold his peace: but he cried so much the more, Thou son of David, have mercy on me.
40 And Jesus stood, and commanded him to be brought unto him: and when he was come near, he asked him,
41 Saying, What wilt thou that I shall do unto thee? And he said, Lord, that I may receive my sight. - Luke 18:38-41 KJV
God is faithful and He is more than able.
There is nothing too hard for the Lord. He takes on the tough cases. He brings about transformation. The impossible becomes possible in His presence, by His grace and in His love. He is El Shaddai. There is nobody like Him.
So when we see the God of heaven and earth speaking in scripture, decreeing with His life, we can truly believe in Hebrews, which says that Jesus was the author and the finisher of our faith. Meaning, He authored what faith looks like to us and then finished it on the cross, in the death, the burial, and the resurrection of Jesus. We see the authoring of faith and the finished work of the Lord.
In scripture, it is recounted for us day by day, line by line, moment by moment, miracle by miracle. We see that there is nothing too hard for the Lord. We see tables being turned. We see financial breakthroughs. We see the deaf being made to hear and the blind being restored in their sight.
We see the lame that have been lame for decades being restored immediately, the bones in their legs, which should be atrophied, gaining strength, and them walking and leaping behind Jesus. We see that there is nothing too hard for the Lord.
And so as you look at your situations, as you see the newsreel, as you see the reports, as you see the wages, the rumors of war, you see everything up in the air, remember that the Lord our God is with us, securing our families, securing our homes, and securing our communities in the name of Jesus that no evil will prevail against it. No discord will come against it. In the name of Jesus, he will keep us in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on Him.
Remember the Lord your God. Remember that God is faithful, and remember that He is more than able, for there is nothing too hard for the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords.
Closing Devotional Prayer
My prayer for you:
Father, in the name of Jesus. Thank you. Thank you, Lord God, that your mercies are new every morning. Thank you for the weighted glory of God. You are Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. Lord, I bless your holy name. I thank you for being a keeper.
You are good, you are worthy. O God, you are more than able. You are faithful, King of Glory. Have your way. Break the hand of the enemy over the mighty woman of God.
Lord, I thank you for the refreshing oil. I thank you for the anointing that breaks the yoke and reminds us of who you are, bringing us back to our righteous mind the way you did the prodigal son, as he was digging for scraps among the animals, and you restored to him his righteous mind and reminded him that even his father’s servants ate better than what he was eating.
So, Lord, I thank you, God, that the mighty woman of God can be reminded by faith that you are able, that she can be snatched from the snares of the enemy, the snares of doubt, insecurity, fear, anxiety, worry, shame.
All of those chains, let them break in the name of Jesus. I thank you for the weighted glory of God. I thank you for being Jireh. I thank you, Lord God, that you are more than enough. I thank you, Lord, and I pray in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.
