No Walls: Why we’re removing the paywalls for free subscribers
While increasing benefits for Paid Subscribers
We have been thinking about this for a few weeks. God has been stirring up something powerful for the team and our long-term growth. (You can leave a comment if you have a question or concern)
God leads this ministry
The Holy Spirit advised us to create a paywall.
It wasn’t immediately clear why until much later.
We knew that some women absolutely valued the word and would want to have a way to sow into the publication.
So charging $11/month (.37 cents) per day for comprehensive 2,000-word devotionals made sense. Then we dropped it down to $8 to make it easier to access.
Creating the Her Morning Prayers Podcast
Because we value ministry and wanted something that was completely free, we created the prayer podcast to start the day and pave the way for the comprehensive devotionals.
90 minutes to 2 hours per day.
For 2 years.
That is what we were guided to create. Having a team of writers wasn’t on the agenda at first…. Just massive obedience in the small, consistent daily actions, combined with my marketing knowledge on building large communities.
But some still felt frustrated to hit a paywall
And to be honest, we felt it too.
The comprehensive devotionals are powerful reminders of God’s love, and we wish more women could access them.
But removing the paywall would have a negative impact on our core mission: to pray for 1,000,000 women daily through our Substack.
Many are not aware of this, but…. It’s important to share.
Substack Only Grows When We Do
Every time a woman becomes a paid subscriber, Substack sees this and increases the reach of the publication.
Every time a new paid subscriber comes on, we reach thousands more women on Substack with prayers and the word of God.
So, taking off the paywall isn’t an option as it would stifle the growth of the publication. But the last 6-weeks of live Daily Faith Activations with the paid subscribers have brought something new to light.
Many women want to be supported and helped through real-life issues.
The paid subscribers have absolutely loved the live Daily Faith Activations and their weekly guide (uploaded to the paid member library).
We’ve covered things like worship, prayer strategy, growing through life issues, and how to get back on track when life hits.
The live scriptural teachings being translated to real-life application over the last 6 weeks have brought women clarity, peace of mind, and joy. Many have started to move by faith and see tangible changes.
All for $8/month. So that opened up a new opportunity.

Over the last 2 weeks, the still small voice of God has been showing us a new way. The bible says in Isaiah 43:19 AMP:
“Listen carefully, I am about to do a new thing,
Now it will spring forth;
Will you not be aware of it?
I will even put a road in the wilderness,
Rivers in the desert.
He was drawing a path to open things up for free subscribers while still honoring the women who said yes to sowing into this ministry.
Face-to-Face Faith Podcast was the answer.
But it’s hard to see something while you’re building it. Being still and knowing that He is God is the best way to listen and perceive the new thing. Deep contemplation and resting in God’s presence helped me to hear His voice. He opened up a new way for us to remove paywalls for free subscribers while increasing benefits to paid subscribers.
After speaking with the paid subscribers and discussing this change with them, they advised that the live Daily Faith Activations are life-affirming and bring them joy. Their sowing is now reaping a harvest, and we desire this for every woman who becomes a paid subscriber.
Going forward, here is what you can expect:
All three emails we send daily are FREE for ALL subscribers and will have NO paywalls:
6:00 am Comprehensive Daily Devotional (Was only half-free)
7:00 am Morning Prayer
8:00 pm Night Light Devotional
For our paid subscribers, you can expect Daily Faith Activations + A Paid Member Library; we will meet daily, and all replays will be in the Face-to-Face Faith Podcast Feed for paid subscribers.
