All that we need is in Christ Jesus. Everything we need in our finances, everything we need in our relationships, and everything we need for our growth to advance the kingdom of God, all of these things are found in him.
All sufficiency means everything that we need, being sufficient enough, more than enough. There is a grace that we receive when we walk with King Jesus. When we lean not to our own understanding, but we acknowledge God in all of our ways. We can begin to see things move.
We can be saying to see the grace and glory of God come forth by faith, because we’re not doing getting our own strength, because we’re not walking in only what we know, and because we’re not looking to the past or to our last level of faith. Jehovah Jireh is Jehovah on the mount of the Lord it shall be seen.
This saying of divine provision that we know so well originated with the father of our faith, Abraham, when he took Isaac to the top of Mount Moriah, as the Lord instructed him, knowing that he was going to lay his son on an altar and sacrifice him because God said so.
The angel of the Lord, of course, stopped Abraham before the work was finished, but the test was whether or not he feared the Lord more than the promises and more than the things that God blessed him with. Whether or not he feared God enough to trust that God would be enough.
That is the journey we all face today, that we are no longer looking to every old thing. We’re not looking to the fear. We’re not looking to the doubt. We’re not looking to what we know. We’re not looking to our network. We’re looking to the God who created the universe, and we’re believing that he is more than enough.
We’re believing that he is more than able. We are believing that he is a provider in the midst of all that we need. There is nothing that He cannot do. There is not one wall that He can’t move, and there’s not one obstacle that he cannot overcome. Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen. That’s what it tells us in Hebrews 11:1.
Our faith is a pathway.
When we walk with God, knowing that he is more than enough, believing that he has dispersed abroad all that we need, believing in our hearts that he is God, everything else falls away. All of the doubt and all of the fear, begins to take a back seat, and in its place we have the grace and glory of God driving our hearts, steering our ship, and keeping our hearts in perfect peace.
All sufficiency is in him. In Ephesians 3:20, it states:
20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, - Ephesians 3:20 KJV
That passage of scripture, that one verse, shows us explicitly that God is more than able to do all that we need, and it includes the mechanism by which God does it. It’s according to the power that worketh in us.
That power, as we see in Ephesians, is the Spirit of the living God. That is the Holy Spirit at work within you and I in order to do the good work of the Lord, in order to bring about transformation in our lives, and that there may be a demonstration of the glory of the Lord.
All of this happens by faith.
You must know in your heart and believe and speak with your mouth that God is more than enough, that the power of life and death are in the tongue, and they that they that believe it shall eat the fruit thereof. So there is a grace that is happening. There is a breakthrough that is occurring. There is a weight that is being released every time we decide to believe God.
Every time we decide to keep going with Him, every time we decide not to throw in a towel, we are turning to the King of kings. We’re turning to the God who created the universe and everything in it, and we’re saying with our hearts, with our actions, and with our very minds that we will not be moved, that God is more than enough, and that he is more than able to do all things, to address every issue, and to turn around any situation by faith.
This is the weapon that the enemy wants to dull. This is the weapon that the enemy wants to defeat. It is our faith in King Jesus that moves mountains. It is our faith that allows us to receive the good report of the Lord. It is our faith which overcomes the spirit of division, which overcomes lack of faith, which overcomes every principality and doubt for us.
It is our faith which makes us whole. It is our faith which opens up doors. It is our faith that brings the word alive, more than mere words on a page. When we read each word, we are believing that God spoke this, that the breath of God is in every line of scripture.
This is the faith by which we operate, and this is the faith that the enemy wants to take, but he cannot have it, not unless you give it to him, not unless you surrender, not unless you give up. The Bible tells us in Galatians 6:9 not to grow weary. It states:
9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. - Galatians 6:9 KJV
So the ability to hold on, to press, and to believe is baked in our very DNA, if we’ll tap into it, if we will hold fast to the confession of our faith, knowing that God is a promise keeper, that he is faithful, and that he is more than able.
Closing Devotional Prayer
My Prayer for You:
Father, in the name of Jesus, thank you. Thank you, Lord, that your mercies are new every morning. Thank you for the grace and glory of God. Thank you for the shifting. I thank you for the outpouring. Lord, you are God, and your mercy endure forever.
As we walk with you this morning, Lord, please, God, show us the way. Lord, orchestrate our steps. Oh God, you are the Lord our God, and there is nobody like you. I pray that this mighty woman of God begins to experience, God, the peace of God, and that day by day, in every way, oh God, you guide her steps.
You order those steps, oh God. You guide her, oh God, into all truth, because, God, all that we need is in you. I thank you, Lord, and I pray in Jesus mighty name. Amen.
