Audio Version Of This Devotional: Let Him Carry It Audio
This morning, take the time to put down your cape and step into the reality of your life. Step into understanding that this was never meant to be your burden to carry. In this season, as you begin to shift and see doors open for you, being able to put things down and gain a godly perspective through prayer, through meditation, and time apart is essential.
It is important that you remember that you are human and that we have all made mistakes. There's so much more that happens when you decide day in and day out to release the fear and to break down the walls. This is the purpose of us connecting one to another. We are meant to reach for one another, to learn from one another, and to grow with one another.
God never intended for you to do these things alone. He never intended for you to bear the burden by yourself. Now is not the time to shrink back or to give up or go into hiding. Now is not the time to step back and maybe God will work it out. No. Now is the time to lean in and to trust the Lord your God. This is the season to let God carry everything. Allow Him to carry the weight of the family.
Take that cape off and release the weight from your shoulders so that there could be a capacity for the things you truly want in your life and career. Your life is not your own. It was bought with a price. So when you decide to let go and give God you and your heart, everything else lines into place. Everything becomes closer and more connected so that you aren't alone. You're not shouldering this burden on your own.
Whether it's guilt, whether it's low self-esteem, whether it's the desire to uphold an old, old promise, even though that promise may have not had anything to do with this moment, but you are a promise keeper just the same. And so in your desire to grow with God, maybe let go of the things that are important, like spending time with family, like knowing their name, setting a table for dinner. These are the things that are worth carrying.
The weight of the mistakes and the decisions, the weight of other people's burdens. God said to cast your cares upon Him, not upon society. This is not about social media dumping or trauma bonding through content. This is something different. It's elevated. It's growth-focused. You're covered by God. This is the promise that He has given you. For His yoke is easy, and His burden is light.
When you pray, God will answer you. He will call. When you submit yourself into prayer and fasting, things are going to break. This is truthful law. Now's the time. This is the moment to let go and unburden yourself of the weight and trust in the Lord your God. For He's with you wherever you go. Whatever you decide, he's with you always. So don't get lost. Don't cling to yesterday. Be ready to release your heart and follow in the instructions of the Holy Ghost.
Trust in Him. Move with Him when He moves. Release when He gives you the authority to let go. You're not carrying this anymore.
Closing Devotional Prayer
My prayer for you: Father, in the name of Jesus, thank you. Thank you for covering the mighty woman of God. Thank you, God, for they that are reading this daily devotional and listening to this devotional and wondering, God, how can they begin to let go of the responsibilities that people have depended on them for so long?
Well, Lord, I thank you that you can show them how to be intentional. You can show her, God, how to open up a door and trust you. You can show her, God, that you are with her, God, wherever she goes. She is not alone. That there is a peace that surpasses understanding. The weight of assignment and glory doesn't compare to the weight of our God.
One will have to bow to the other. So I thank you, Lord, God, that the atmosphere is bowing. The season has already changed. I pray that the mighty woman of God begin to just release from her heart every old burden, every old weight, and that she steps fully in the power and the grace and the glory of being your daughter, of casting all of her cares before you, at sitting and just receiving from you, Lord, God. That is her portion, and this is her time. I thank you, Lord, and I pray in Jesus' mighty name, Amen.
