Today’s Devotional Scripture: 29 And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague.
30 And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes?
- Mark 5:29-30 KJV

Audio Version Of This Devotional: Just One Moment Audio
Straightaway is the key word here in this cornerstone scripture. “Straightaway the woman was healed of her plague”. She felt it in her body is what the scripture says in verse 29. Many times we believe that it's going to take years for us to see a change. We believe that it's going to take a 12-step process. We believe that we have to do certain things in order to get ready.
The truth of the matter is that yes, you know, four-year degrees and preparing for marriage and growing in the things of God takes time. Absolutely and yes, you must prepare for the things that you pray for in terms of growth and being able to carry the weight of glory attached to the blessings of God. However, it doesn't take forever for God to bless and heal.
Miracles are not something that we can plan. They are things that we receive by faith. Miracles are the things that we walk in by faith and miracles only take a moment. Many times the waiting period and the processing is what makes us feel that things are impossible. But there's nothing too hard for the Lord. And if we know according to Matthew chapter 19:26 that with man this is impossible but with God all things are possible.
26 But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible. - Matthew 19:26 KJV
Then it stands to reason that God can do it no matter what it is. God is able to heal no matter what it is. God is able to spring forth with blessings no matter what it is. He can do it. And it'll only take a moment. John chapter 5 verse 1 - 15 tells a story of Jesus coming upon a man who was infirmed 38 years and asking him do you want to be whole? And the man answered in a particular way. When the man answered he answered with the obstacles.
He answered with the time he had been waiting. He answered with the reasons why he had not been healed. But none of those things mattered to Jesus. What mattered is: Did he want to be healed? So in the scripture what we see starting in verse number 6 it states:
6 When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole?
7 The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me.
8 Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk.
9 And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and walked: and on the same day was the sabbath. - John 5:6-9 KJV
Here we see the word immediately in verse number 9 the man was made whole. It didn't take Jesus six weeks to heal him. It only took a moment. One moment is all it takes for the Lord to radically transform your situation. It only takes one moment. It only takes an instant. When we have the earthly expectation that things will take six weeks or eight months or we go by the standard, we exclude the possibilities of God. We exclude the power of God when we don't even operate in the expectation that He can do it and that he can do it swiftly.
Today as you prepare to go forth in your day, open your heart and prepare for suddenlies. Open your heart and expect miracles. Turn away from your own understanding. The Bible says lean not onto your own understanding but acknowledge God in all of your ways and he will direct your path.
5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. - Proverb 3:5-6 KJV
Turn away from the logic and from the overthinking that so easily besets us. Turn away and look to His great power do what it says in Psalm 46:10
10 Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth. - Psalm 46:10 KJV
He is able to do it. Keep your heart open for miracles. Yet another demonstration of this scripture is in Acts, Chapter 3 in the New Testament verse 6 - 8. we see it it says:
6 Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.
7 And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.
8 And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God. - Acts 3:6-8 KJV
There's that word again: immediately. Tere's that word once more in verse 7 “immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength”. Can God not do it? Is He not able? God is not a man that he should lie nor the Son of Man that he should change his mind. The promises that He has made you are Yes and Amen.
Suddenly is the expectation to have today.
Suddenly is the word to hold in your heart.
Suddenly is the expectation to receive in your spirit.
God can do exceedingly abundantly above all that you ask or think according to the power at work within you.
20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,
21 Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen. - Ephesians 3:20-21
The time is now and it only takes one moment.
Closing Devotional Prayer
My prayer for you: Father in the name of Jesus, I thank you. I thank you for sudden shifts. I thank you God that ways are being made. Lord, you are good. You are a good good father. You know what you have planned for us. You know the weight of what we've been carrying.
You know of the resistance that many have faced. Yet and still, you are God alone. You are El Shaddai. You are the Lord of Heaven's armies. The King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. There is nobody like you, Jehovah. I thank you for the weighted glory of God. I thank you for the abundance. I thank you for the shift. I thank you Lord that ways are being made for the mighty woman of God. In ways that she is not yet considered.
I thank you God that there is an outpouring of your spirit over everything that concerns her. Lord, you have those things in your hand. You have her heart in your hand. You have it in your hands. You have her life and her destiny in your hands.
Lord, according to the word you have her in your hands. It says in Romans chapter 8:38 - 39 that nothing can separate us from the love of God. Lord we are yours and you are ours. I thank you, Lord God, for being the sovereign Lord. I thank you Lord for being the King of Kings.
I thank you for breaking everything that's not like you. We thank you Oh God that your glory will come in and that, Lord God, you will have your way. I thank you Lord and I pray in Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
