Audio Version Of This Devotional: It’s Time To Move Audio
He was alive, but could not see. He was up about and moving, but was not free. When Jesus called Lazarus out of the cave in this verse of scripture, the power and the life was already in Lazarus. However, he was still bound by grave clothes. His face was bound with a napkin. He still had things hindering him, even though he was free.
Is it truly freedom if you cannot move? That's the question. Here today, God is saying it is time to move, that you are free, that you have come alive again, that this is the season for restoration, for the fire to be reignited, and for the breath of God to be poured out afresh and anew on His people. The season has shifted. But to know how to deal with that requires that you not just that you be free, but that you also be unbound from what you cannot see and the movement that you cannot make.
There are levels of deliverance that you must go through when coming out of low seasons. Today's scripture represents two. There must be a liberty in what you can see and how you perceive. That's number one. And the second thing is you must be able to move freely according with that greater perception. It may make many uncomfortable, however, this is the job. This is the assignment. This is the blessing that we all fight for.
It's time to move. It's time to let go of the bandages covering your face. It's time to be released from the bandages, keeping your body wrapped up, though you are alive. You are alive, you are present, you are up. When you decide to walk with God and let go of every old thing, this is what it looks like for you to be able to move, to take action, and to walk by faith and not by sight.
To have the grave clothes removed from your heart and mind is important. To have the grave clothes taken off by the very people that buried you. This is another level from God. And after this encounter where Jesus calls Lazarus out of the grave, it says in the following chapter that many came not to see Jesus, but to see the one who was dead and come back alive. It's time to move.
9 Much people of the Jews therefore knew that he was there: and they came not for Jesus' sake only, but that they might see Lazarus also, whom he had raised from the dead. - John 12:9 KJV
There's more that God has for you than this. There's more than the stagnancy that is so present in this life and in this world. What's necessary more than anything now is that you come into the knowledge of God on a level that requires complete submission, complete trust, and a complete yes, no matter what. Because God is God even beyond your control when it's time and he comes bearing the weight to break every chain.
Receive that from the Lord. Don't attempt to control outcomes. Trust in the Lord our God, for he is mighty to deliver and mighty to set free. As we continue in this morning and as you get prepared for your day, remember this:
When God speaks, everything on earth must respond, including you.
When God says it's time to shift, to move, to come back into the knowledge of who you are, don't fight it when you believe in your own mind that you are not ready. Receive what thus saith the Lord in this season and operate fully from it, for he is good and his love endures forever.
Remember to let go, to be at peace, to know that He is the Lord our God. This is to be present and available. It's not taking for granted when receiving the things that you've prayed for. Take action, rise, respond to the prompting of the Holy Spirit, to create, to build, to love, to nurture. Whatever your assignment is in this season, do it with all your might, because the revival is coming upon each and every one, to operate in their God-given assignment, to restore what was lost, and to see many, many gains.
Closing Devotional Prayer
My prayer for you: Father, in the name of Jesus, I thank you. I thank you, God, for securing the mighty woman of God. I thank you, God, for her having the courage to respond with a yes. I thank you, Lord God, that it's not by might, nor by power, but by your Spirit, God.
You stayed two days after learning that Lazarus was passing for the demonstration of the Lord, for they that saw might know, and that God himself will be glorified. Thank you, Jesus. Thank you for her covering. Thank you for the breakers anointing. Thank you, God, that there is no distractions. Lord, have your way, King of glory.
Remove every barrier and every wall. Speak to the woman of God, and as you speak, oh God, I pray that the grave clothes begin to come off suddenly. I believe, Lord God, that you are able to do what you said that you would do, that there's nothing too hard for you when it comes to your daughters.
Thank you for this mighty woman of God saying yes, Lord, to what it is that you desire her to do, how you desire her to move, and what she's responding to. I'm praying for the grace and the glory of God to go forth over not just her divine identity, but her assignment as a mother, her assignment as a wife, her assignment as a sister and a friend, God.
I pray, oh God, for the glory of the Lord to be revealed, and for the mighty woman of God to come up, to arise, and to move forward in the name of Jesus, for he, you, God, you are God alone. Thank you, Lord, and I pray in Jesus' mighty name, Amen.
