Audio Version Of This Devotional: It's Not Over Audio
God is faithful to finish what he started in you. The journey He placed you on years ago, the process of development that you've walked through time and time again and layer after layer is not in vain. He has a purpose and a plan for every battle that you have faced and every war that you've gone through.
There is a grace and a glory to finish and finish strong. There is an empowerment of His spirit to help you along the journey so that you may see the fullness of God. The manifestation of God is not something that we can just will into place. The manifestation of God is something that we prepare for by faith. Not one distraction and not one lie in the pit of hell can stop what God is doing. He has already done all that he is going to do.
He created the heavens and the earth. He created you and I then gave us a purpose and a plan. His part in the journey is done. He is the God that stands out of time. Before we knew our names, our God knew us. This is what we believe according to the scripture. That before we knew ourselves while we were yet in our mother's womb that the Lord knew us. We have seen that time and time again through scripture. We see that with the prophet Jeremiah when he tells them in Jeremiah chapter one that he is called them a prophet to the nations.
5 Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations. - Jeremiah 1:5 KJV
So we know that God is able. We know that God can. We know that he's a promise keeper. We know that he doesn't play games about his children. He knows you. He knows the struggles. He knows the challenges. He knows the walls and the things that you overcome. He knows. The Lord our God has known you. Age upon age, he has overcome every wall, every barrier, and every device of the enemy.
He is familiar with his tactics and he's given us battle strategies, scripture, and word for this obstacle that you're facing and this wall that you have faced. Remember the word that he gave Joshua in Joshua chapter six. While the walls of Jericho were straightly shut up, God said, see, I have given into thine hand Jericho and the king thereof and the mighty men of valor.
2 And the Lord said unto Joshua, See, I have given into thine hand Jericho, and the king thereof, and the mighty men of valour. - Joshua 6:2 KJV
God lined things up that even though the lock and key was on the gate of Jericho, he told Joshua that it was already done. God was saying to Joshua:
I have given you Jericho into your possession. You will overcome it. You will conquer it. You will see the end of this obstacle.
And that's exactly what Jericho was. It was the first battle after the Jordan. It was not something that could be missed, not something that could be skipped over. It had to be endured. The battles in your life right now that you are facing must be endured. They must be conquered. God will deliver the victory into your hand.
The scripture for this devotional today says “faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.” So the battles that God has called you to, he will also give you victory in them. If you've been called to this place in this season, if you're facing this wall, that is the only evidence you need that God has already given you the victory. It cannot be over because you're looking at the wall. It cannot be over because you are still breathing, alive, and of sound mind. There's still something for God to do through you in this moment.
There's still something to be gleaned and there's still victories to be received. This is not your battle. It is the Lord's. It is not over. It is not done. God is turning things around. Our job is to just stand and see the salvation of the Lord. Stand and see, hold your peace. Don't get caught up in what you see. The battle will not be given just by your sight. It's going to be given by the power of the Holy Spirit.
The battle is going to be won and you are going to overcome by the spirit of the living God. It will be indescribable how God shows up for you. Our job as believers is to just believe and believe only. Like he said to the man who wondered whether or not Jesus could do what he said he could do. In Luke chapter 8 verse 50, Jesus had heard the end of a thing. He had heard already that Jairus' daughter was dead.
49 While he yet spake, there cometh one from the ruler of the synagogue's house, saying to him, Thy daughter is dead; trouble not the Master.
50 But when Jesus heard it, he answered him, saying, Fear not: believe only, and she shall be made whole.
51 And when he came into the house, he suffered no man to go in, save Peter, and James, and John, and the father and the mother of the maiden - Luke 8:49-51 KJV
So when we get to Luke chapter 8:50, we see that we're at a dead end. Jairus' daughter is indeed dead. Make no mistake, this is what was announced. But God spoke and said to him after receiving that report, and when he came into the house, he suffered no man to go in save Peter and James and John and the father and the mother of the maiden. It was in verse 51. He didn't want anyone else there.
The decree that He made in verse 50 was true. He said, fear not, believe only, and she shall be made whole. This is the victory that God has promised each and every one of us. This is the same thing He said over in Jeremiah. He said, fear not, be of good courage. In verse 8 of Jeremiah chapter 1, it says, be not afraid of their faces, for I am with thee to deliver thee, saith the Lord.
8 Be not afraid of their faces: for I am with thee to deliver thee, saith the Lord. - Jeremiah 1:8 KJV
You are not over. The battle is not over. It's not done. It's time to press in like never before and see the fullness of God come forth by His spirit. Press into his presence. Pray. Fast. Because these things only come out by fasting and prayer. It's not done yet. It may look finished, but God has the final say. He says when things are done. He says when things are over, and he can turn a situation around in a moment.
The power of God can do in days what we could not do in years. It is the power of God at work for supernatural acceleration. That is what to believe in this season. That is the truth to receive in this season. It's time to let go of every impossibility. It's time to let go of the feeling, the thought, the fear that this is the end. It's not. Only believe. Only press forth into his presence, knowing that he hears your prayers and that he hears your heart's cry.
Let go and allow God to have his way. Pour in. Have faith and just know it's not over.
Closing Devotional Prayer
My prayer for you: Father, in the name of Jesus, I thank you. I thank you for the grace and the glory. I thank you for covering the mighty woman of God. I thank you for breaking away everything that's not like you. Thank you for overcoming the hand of the enemy and for reminding the mighty woman of God that she is not alone.
She is kept, oh God. I come into agreement, God, in the name of Jesus. I pray, Lord God, that you begin to move on her behalf. Move in the situations, oh God, that seem impossible. Lord, have your way. Lord, we know that you have the final say. Nothing is over until you say it's over. Lord God, you're the God that opened up the Red Sea for your people. You're the God that opened up the Jordan. You are the God, oh God, that brought forth Lazarus from the grave.
You are that God that broke fish and bread and fed the 5,000 and their families. Lord God, miracle after miracle is recorded in your holy word. I thank you, Lord God, for a miracle for this mighty woman of God. I'm praying, oh God, that you will go forth with power, that you will go forth, oh God, and break down every wall. Sever the hand of unbelief from over her life. Sever, God, every bit of doubt and every weight.
Let it fall away from her. Let it fall like rain off her shoulders. Let her stand mightily before you, knowing, oh God, that you are able. Let her decree a thing and know that it shall be established. Let her decree peace, faith, power. Let her shut the door on her family and on her finances. Let her shut the door, God, on her emotions, on her heart, and allow the oil of anointing to fall on her, God, the same way you poured the oil in 2 Kings 4.
Allow the oil to come forth, oh God, and let it bring forth divine increase. Lord, sever the hand of the enemy now. Turn every battle, God, everything that has been longstanding and stagnant. I pray in the name of Jesus for a wind. Open the door, Lord God. Open the door for my sister in Christ. Open the door, God, and allow her to see a new thing. Break down every barrier and every wall.
Lord, we come against the spirit of unbelief in the name of Jesus. We will only believe. We will trust you, oh God, and we will come into divine agreement. We will say yes, God, to your will and your way. We will see the miracles, God, and we will come with great expectations for the hand of God to move in our situations. I thank you, Lord, and I pray in the name of Jesus, Amen.
