Today’s Devotional Scripture: 19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good? - Numbers 23:19 KJV

Audio Version Of This Devotional: It Won’t Be Long Now Audio
God is not a man. He is not going to make promises and then change his mind. He doesn't dangle fruit in front of you and some all elusive journey to try to control you. Your walk with God is completely an act of YES. A move of your heart to know that he is God. Our walk as believers in Jesus Christ is about trusting God fully.
It's about walking in faith. It's about exploring our faith and becoming a demonstration to others that God is able. Faith is the currency of the kingdom. Faith is what God utilizes to usher in demonstration by His spirit. Faith is an essential ingredient to seeing spiritual manifestation become natural manifestation; to see the words that God has released coming forth in the natural. It all requires faith.
Demonstrations that expand the kingdom of heaven all require faith. This is not a light thing. This is why the enemy works so diligently to undermine your faith, to cause you to doubt that God is able, to cause you to doubt in the timing of God, for you to see delays as denials. This is all the work of the enemy. There is so much more that God has for you. There's so much more that he wants to do through you. And so the enemy desires to sift you as wheat, but thanks be to God that Jesus said he prays for us.
He intercedes for us. It's the Holy Spirit that gives us the words to utter in our prayers when we don't even know what to talk about. God has covered us completely. He's equipped us to walk this walk with him by faith. So what do you do when things get hard? What do you do when it seems like the thing you've been waiting on is taking a very, very long time?
How do you continue to trust when you've been waiting years just to see some evidence that God is able? This is the work of the enemy to cause you to doubt over time, to cause you to feel isolated and overlooked, to cause you to believe that you are not walking with God. This is why so many mighty women of God live lives below their privileges. They live lives that are demonstrative of who they were when they were 20 and 30.
They live lives that are the result of mistakes they've made, but they do not live lives in the way that the Lord intended when he said, “I came that you may live and live life more abundantly”.
10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. - John 10:10 KJV
When Jesus utters those words in the natural, that was an indication to you and I that there is so much more that he desires to do through us than just have us get on by. Faith is how we see that transformation. Faith is how we see that growth.
Faith is how we see glory to glory and way by way we see the things that God does. It is by your faith and God has given each person a measure. So it won't be long now. Do not let go of the promises of God, which are yes and amen. Hold fast to that conviction that you first believed when you uttered your faith in Christ Jesus. Hold fast to that belief that God can do anything. That with men this is impossible, but with God, all things are possible (Matthew 19:26 KJV).
Hold on to the promises of God. Hold on to his ever-changing, ever-powerful, alive word. His word never fails. His word will be here and stand the test of time. But the power from His word, the spirit of it, and the life in it speaks to different seasons of your life in different stages. This is how the same scripture can have so many different applications and powerful revelations for you as you grow in Christ Jesus. Nothing about the word is stagnant.
It is living. It is alive and it is there for you to pull your strength from. It is there for you to walk with. God is able to do what he said he would do. He's able to revive and restore all that has been lost. He's able to restore the years that the cankerworms stole. He is able to restore you and redeem you without money. God is able to secure you in ways that you can't yet imagine if you hold on.
Do not grow weary in well-doing, for you shall reap a harvest if you faint not. That is Galatians 6:9 KJV. This is the will of the Father. This, above all else, is God being glorified.
Closing Devotional Prayer
My prayer for you: Father, in the name of Jesus, I thank you. I thank you that the mighty woman of God is ready to move. I thank you, O God, that there is such a power here now to move her forward. I thank you, Lord God, for forward movement in every part of her life.
I thank you, O God, that walls are coming down suddenly. I thank you for the shift now in the name of Jesus, for you are God alone. Thank you, O God, for helping the woman to be prepared. Be ready for all that you have for her. Lord, I thank you that the hunger and the thirst, O God, that she has for you will be quenched, O God, by your Spirit, that the hunger she has for transformation, for joy, for a new life, that that is quenched by your Spirit who provides us with wisdom and shows us which way to go.
I thank you, Lord God, and I pray for the mighty woman of God listening to this now. I pray that her day be blessed. I pray that her heart be free of any weight, and I pray, O God, that she enjoys this brand new day. I thank you, Lord, and I pray in Jesus' mighty name. Amen.
