Audio Version Of This Devotional: It Has To Go Audio
It has to go. Time out for lingering issues. Every stubborn mountain in your life has to move. The grace and glory of God in this season is speaking to your mountains. We see in the scripture for today's devotional, where the Lord is speaking to the prophet Zechariah, and showing him through the angel of the Lord, what the vision actually means.
As the angel of the Lord translates the vision, he releases a word through verses six and seven, that makes it clear that the Lord is doing it. That the Lord of hosts is making a way. The Lord of hosts is translated to mean the Lord of heaven's armies. This is the God that goes to war for his children. He breaks down walls, he uproots strongholds, and he does it through his power, through heaven's armies, and through his word going forth to release new seasons.
God is able to do what he said he would do. So that lingering issue, that stubborn problem, those things that are just there, that have not been broken for years, the things that you tried to overcome and have victory over, but have not seen it yet. Those things all must submit. These are the mountains of our lives and the mountains of our day-to-day. These mountains cause us to settle into seasons where God has already given us the ability to walk out of. These mountains will convince you that you are not worthy of more.
However, the Lord will give you revelation in how to navigate these mountains. And there are some things that only God can do. This is why Matthew 19:26 says:
26 But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible. - Matthew 19:26 KJV
The reason that these things may seem impossible is because of longstanding unbelief. Because conceptually, it is only believed to come a certain way or to be done a certain way And that if you can't do that, then that means it must not be possible, correct? That longstanding unbelief and the corporate understanding of what is impossible must break in this hour. God is able to do anything.
There is nothing too hard for the Lord.
There's nothing that God cannot do.
There's nothing that He doesn't have the victory over. He can break everything in your life suddenly, immediately. But it takes you coming into agreement with the right word and deciding to let go of the habits and the thoughts that have kept you circling the mountain for years, if not decades. Now is the time for you to see the springing forth. Now is the time for your voice to be unleashed and praise and worship. This is the time to do it right now: An appointed time and appointed season.
God knows the plans that he thinks towards you to give you a future and a hope. He knows that you may be dealing with these lingering issues and stubborn problems that have decided to try to take root in your generation, in your bloodline, in your family, and in communities. But we bind it in the name of Jesus and decree that you have the ability to walk in the power of God, that as daughters that we are to be his reflection, the lights on the hills that cannot be hidden.
Furthermore, we are called to go out into the world and make disciples of all men. These are all charges that we've been given, assignments that the Lord has given to us through his word. Nevertheless, the assignments in hand, the belief in hand, the mountain has to move. This is a shift, a catalyst, as you begin to consider what the mountains are in your life and how the mountains have hindered you for years.
Remember to walk fully in the grace of God that there may be deeper revelation to what these mountains are now. Remember to walk with God that there may be deeper clarity to how you can shift. This happens now, not eight years from now, not eight weeks from now. This happens now. God is a very present help in a time of trouble. He is God now. He is able now. Things can shift now. Come into agreement with his word and begin to see things shift. It has to go.
Mountains have to leave. Lingering issues must leave. It has to break. Nothing can continue to undermine you from the grace and the glory that God has for you, the destiny that he has for you. It can no longer be hindered by the mountains of your life. It can no longer be hindered by the mountains of your past. God is able to do what he said he would do. It's our job to command the mountains and let them know that they have to go.
Closing Devotional Prayer
My prayer for you: Father, in the name of Jesus, thank you. Thank you for being God alone. Lord, I thank you for you are El Shaddai. Lord, your word never fails and never returns to you unfulfilled. So I thank you, Lord God, for your faithfulness.
Thank you, O God, for the release of this word. Thank you for the fire of God being dropped right now, not by might, nor by power, by your spirit, God. We're going to see it. We thank you, God, that you're the God that makes all things new. All things have passed away. We are new creatures made in your image, O God, in the name of Jesus.
New creatures made by faith. O God, we are being transformed day by day. For the Bible says not to be conformed to this world, but to be transformed by the renewing of our minds. I thank you for that renewing going forth, O God, in the word and in worship. I thank you, God, that our minds are being made up to trust in you, to walk with you, to believe in you again. I think that the mighty woman of God is coming into divine agreement.
I thank you that she is shifting into yes and back into faith again. I thank you for rekindling her faith, for lighting a fire inside of her, that she may see the glory of the Lord revealed. I thank you, Lord, and I pray in Jesus' mighty name. Amen.
