When you are truly ready to let go of every old thing and walk with the King of Glory, letting go is easy. Not because there wasn’t pain and not because there wasn’t hope for an old thing, but letting go is easy when you realize that everything in the past is done. It is not something you can go back and change; it’s not something you can rearrange.
Now is the time, now is the moment
The best time to come before God and move forward is right now. The best time to see a change in your life starts from this moment. Not anything in the past, not any emotional discord, and not any pain that you might have gone through. No matter who hurt, and no matter who betrayed you, no matter what you have walked through, now is the time, now is the moment.
This is the only moment that you can fully operate from because you can’t operate in the past, and you can’t create by living in the future. The best time is now. The best time to create is from this moment.
In looking at the cornerstone scriptures today, you can clearly see that the Lord is speaking through His scripture about living in this moment, living from the now. Not because we are careless, and not because we are not good planners. No.
The living from now is about the faith that we have and the execution of that faith. It is about trusting that God is more than able, so we live from this moment, not in regret, not in past consideration, not in fear. From this moment, releasing every old thing, we create from now.
Reach forth in the now
In Philippians 3:13-14, the apostle is telling those who are essentially listening and reading the scripture: I count not myself to have apprehended, meaning even though he has done many things, he has preached the gospel, but he forgets what is behind and he reaches forth nevertheless He reaches forth.
