The Lord is here with us now as we walk day in and day out with God. There’s a grace that comes in because the Lord promised us in scripture that he would never leave us and never forsake us (Hebrews 13:5 KJV).
So our praying to Him in the name of Jesus, praying before the Lord our God, and asking in the name of Jesus, is asking in the name of one whom we love and one who loves us, one whom we trust and one who trusts us.
As we walk with the Lord in our everyday lives, prayer to see God move in every part of our lives begins to shift things, big or small. God covers every prayer. He can do all of it. With God, all things are possible (Matthew 19:26 KJV).
Bearing this in mind, when we see John 14:13-14, we are seeing a continuation of Jesus teaching the disciples that he and the Father are one. He goes deep, and he says to them, If you’re looking for the father, you've seen me. I and the Father are one.
