At this point in Psalm 91, we see that God is our refuge. We see that we are covered when we abide under the shadow of the Almighty. We see that God will not allow things to come near our door; not the noisome pestilence and not destruction that wastes at noonday.
We see the promise of God unwrapped in this scripture and now the unique promise in verse 11, that he shall give his angels charge over thee to keep thee in all thy ways. This encouraging word by the psalmist is not the word from the Lord or words from God.
These are words of encouragement from the psalmist that God will give his angels charge over thee to keep thee in all thy ways. In this place of encouragement, in this place of preparation, Psalm 91 as we've discussed becomes a blueprint.
It becomes the guide that God gives us to walk out this divine promise of providence and protection from the Lord.

So when we get to verse 11 and we see that he shall give his angels charge over thee to keep thee in all thy ways, it is essential that we receive that God is not just a promise keeper, but that he sends his angels to cover us, to keep us, to lift us up.
We see this throughout scripture where the Lord uses angels to comfort and to empower. We see that after Jesus spent 40 days and 40 nights in the desert overcoming the enemy's devices, that the angels were sent to minister to Jesus.
So when we go to Matthew chapter four, verse 11 in the King James Version, it reads,
Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him. Matthew 4:11 KJV
The fight that Jesus was in and that he overcame was so that angels came and ministered to him to lift him up, to encourage him after one of the biggest battles of his ministry. After this battle and after his victory, the angels were sent by the Lord to lift up Jesus.
There are many points in scripture where the Lord sends an angel to prepare His people for battle or to comfort his people after battle. He sends his angels on assignment. They're not just sent by happenstance. The angels that the Lord sends are sent on assignment. We see that very heavily here in Psalm 91:11.
We see where the angels are assigned to keep thee in all thy ways. Now many have walked through scripture and we have seen how we are to lean not to our own understanding, but to acknowledge God in all of our ways, to trust in him fully, to wait on him fully. These are things that God calls us to do.
But here in Psalm 91, there's the assurance by the psalmist that the Lord will send angels to cover you, to keep you in all of your ways. So the previous 10 verses that lead to this scripture all paint this picture of a mighty God going to battle for us, clearing out all confusion for us, making ways out of no way as we abide in His presence, as we completely trust in him.
We see this glory. We see this God at work. We see the dominion of God. We see His power to keep us. And now we see that one of those things that He does, including sending his word and his presence to cover us, is sending his angels to take charge over us, to be assigned to us, and to keep us in all of our ways.
The moment you start reading this scripture over your family, over your home, over your children, over your finances, you are essentially opening the door for the grace and glory of God to come into your life in such a way that:
no matter what chaos is erupting in the world,
no matter what distractions are coming down the pipeline,
no matter what spiritual strongholds are coming,
including those from the spirit of the Leviathan, from the spirit of infirmity, from all of the demonic principalities and dark forces, that God is still able and that through all of those weapons, he will send protection.
He will make ways out of no way. He will keep us from falling. He will give His angels charge over us as we walk with him, as we trust in him, and as we walk in this divine Psalm 91 journey.
God is saying, I will send my angels to cover thee, to keep thee in all of thy ways. So we know, based on scripture, that when the Lord sends these angels, that he sent them for great battles.
The Lord sent an angel to Gideon in Judges chapter six.
The Lord sent an angel to Joshua and the children of Israel as they crossed the river Jordan.
God sends angels to prepare, to speak, to decree, to make way for heavy things. This scripture is not a light scripture. This scripture is meant to be a cornerstone in our faith, especially when life gets a little rough and things begin to get a little haywire.
We can turn to the word and we can see that through it all, verse by verse, He is still God and He is still able. So we're going to read Psalm 91:1 - 11. And it says:
1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
3 Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.
4 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.
5 Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;
6 Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.
7 A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.
8 Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.
9 Because thou hast made the Lord, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;
10 There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.
11 For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. - Psalm 91:1-11 KJV
On this Day 11 of the Psalm 91 series, I pray in your heart that you are able to receive that the Lord does indeed send angels to have charge over us, that he covers us, and that these angels are sent on assignment to lift us and to keep us.
If you have ever experienced or felt as if the Lord was guiding your hand, or if he sent you angels unaware on your journey, please drop that in the comments and encourage someone that the angels are being sent, that God is still able, and that we can trust in him.
We are not alone, we are not forsaken, and God is with us.

My prayer for you: Father, in the name of Jesus, thank you. Thank you, God, that your mercy is new every morning. Thank you, God, for covering me and empowering me, God, to complete this devotional. I thank you, God, for the mighty women of God who are paid members of this devotional, and for those who are free, God.

I thank you, God, for the supernatural power of God at work. No weapon formed against this devotional and against the women of God shall prosper. Every wall has to come down. We will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. We are not subject to the devices of the enemy. We will overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the words of our testimony.
So I thank you, God, for the blood of the Lamb at work. I thank you, God, for the breakers anointing even now. I thank you, God, that the word of the Lord is coming forth. Thank you, God, that the empowerment of the Holy Spirit is coming forth and that we can trust in you.
We know you, God, and you, Lord, prayerfully know us. I thank you that the mighty woman of God who is listening to this devotional, who is reading this devotional, that the grace and glory of God will go forth over her this day. I pray that whatever enemy, whatever weapon has been erected against her walk, whatever distractions have been unleashed in this week, let it break now in the name of Jesus.
As we come near the end of another week in the daily devotional community, I am praying, God, that you would cover each and every one, God, supernaturally. And the power of God will go forth over her life, over her heart, over her mind in the name of Jesus, for you are our God. Besides you, God, there is no other.
I thank you, God, for this shift. I thank you, God, and I bless you that even in the recording of this, my voice has gotten better. Thank you, Jesus, for the breaker. Thank you, oh God, for the weight of glory of God. Lord, you are so good, and I thank you.
I thank you, God, that you are with us, that we can look to the hills from which cometh our help, Lord, because our help comes from you. You're the Lord of the breakthrough. Thank you for the mighty woman of God that made it to the end of this devotional. Thank you, God, for the mighty woman of God who maybe is free today, but normally would not be able to hear this part of the devotional.
I thank you, God, that the door is open for her today in this devotional, and that Lord God, free or paid, that every woman listening to this prayer right now is empowered by the Holy Ghost, empowered to walk with you, and empowered to trust in you. Lord, she is not alone.
You are with her, oh God. Thank you, Lord God, for tearing down the stronghold, breaking, oh God, the stronghold. You are mighty, and you are able. I thank you, Lord, and I give you glory in Jesus' mighty name, Amen.
