Today’s Devotional Scripture: 2 Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,
3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:
4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. - 2 Peter 1:2-4 KJV
10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. - Ephesians 2:10 KJV

So often we delay walking in the things of God because we feel that we need more. We need more information, we need more education, we need more validation, we need to be vetted, we need to be approved, we need to pursue, we need the approval of man.
All of these things are the byproduct of a society that is so rooted in merit and qualifications that it convinces you and I that we somehow need degrees and educations and approvals in order to pray for one another, to empower one another, to obey God, and to walk in divine authority.
We seek these things, looking to ensure that we honor God and that we follow things in order and in completeness. The problem being that we inadvertently delay the obedience in pursuit of the qualification to obey. Yes, there is a requirement to be a pastor and to be an evangelist. In the house of the Lord, there is a requirement.
To be a part of certain organizations and to be a part of businesses, and to get jobs and a requalified. Yes, however, there are things that God has called us to do that require nothing more than our yes and our faith that he’s able to do it, that he’s able to make a way out of no way.
In this scripture, we see that all that we need is already provided. Not only in the empowerment of the Holy Spirit to do the work that God has called us to do, but even in our own lives in order to accomplish the goals that God has placed in our hearts to accomplish.
