The first part of this series focused on “I will stand upon my watch” and in that devotional we spoke on the heartbeat of the visionary being, steadfast. That our hearts as visionary women are focused solely on the word of the Lord, focused on being still and knowing that he is God.
Our hearts, when we are focused on God and waiting to receive instruction from the Lord, are steadfast. It is steadfast, it is not flaky, and it is not fearful. It is a settled mind that is persuaded that God will finish the work that he started in you and that he will finish what he started. He is a good God, he is a faithful God, and he is a promise keeper.
The steadfast heart of the visionary does not fall away after a few months or after a year. The heart of the visionary holds on to the promise of God, no matter how long it has been since said promise. The heart of the visionary does not depend on timing and it does not depend on seasons. It depends solely on waiting for the Lord to answer, to reveal, and to show us the word of God.
Today's devotional is the same scripture, part two, which is, “…and set me upon the tower”.
