Audio Version Of This Devotional: Grace For The Keeping Audio
Not by works, nor by power, but by His Spirit. The keeping power of God in this season is about receiving the grace of God. Receiving that God is who you need in every season, by faith, sets you apart from those who believe that they can work out their salvation and earn the blessings of the Lord.
When it says in verse 9 of the scripture, “not of works, lest any man should boast”, it is clearly made simple that the grace of God does not require or depend on anything you do. It requires nothing from you but to receive it by faith. This is a difficult concept in the world that says to you that you must earn your degrees, earn your lifestyle, earn your career, and earn your accolades. To know that you can't work for this grace and that there is no earning this grace is a different concept.
To simply receive a gift that has been given to you since before you were born, knowing that He died on the cross before He knew us and before we knew Him. This walk, the Christian faith, requires a different level of faith. It requires receiving things without ever having seen it in the natural. To receive that He died on the cross and that He rose three days later and ascended to the right hand of the Father. This is something you and I have never seen. Yet, we receive it by faith.
Likewise, the grace of God which has been bought and paid for with the blood of Jesus? That is from the Lord. The grace of God that keeps you, that upholds you with His mighty right hand. This grace is sufficient for you, for God's strength is made perfect in your weaknesses.
9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. - 2 Corinthians 12:9 KJV
So there's no need to be strong. There's no need to be always available. God never required you to be strong and independent. He required that you be strong and courageous. He requires that you walk with Him and trust in Him fully. But this world is meant to be walked out in relationship. It's meant to be walked out through trust, through faith, and through acknowledging that even though you may not have always been perfect, you might not have always gotten it right. Yet and still, God loves you, has provided a way for you, and is equipping you for the work of the Lord.
His grace blesses, heals, restores, and repairs the breach. The multifaceted power of God is unlimited. This is why it says in Matthew 19:26, that with man, this is impossible. But with God, all things are possible.
26 But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible. - Matthew 19:26 KJV
There is nothing beyond the capacity of the Lord. There is nothing beyond the power of God. He is able to do what He said He would do. This transformation and this shift that you're walking into now simply requires that you receive the grace of God in the midst of every fiery, dark, and circumstance.
Receive that He is the Lord your God, and that He shall supply all of your needs according to His riches and glory. He has us in the palm of His hand. He has you in the palm of His hands. Receive the grace and walk in the favor.
Closing Devotional Prayer
My prayer for you, Father, in the name of Jesus, I thank you. I thank you for the mighty woman of God. I thank you, Lord, that you are supplying all of her needs according to your riches and glory. And, Lord, I give you glory for shifting the environment about her now. I thank you, O God, that the mighty woman of God is being reminded that you are the sovereign God, the great I Am, the King of kings and the Lord of lords.
You know, God, what you have planned for her, to give her a future and a hope not to harm her, God. I thank you right now for the sufficiency, God, of your grace and power. I thank you, O God, for your great might and for your love for us, which made that grace possible. Lord, I thank you for the healing power of God to go forth over her now.
I thank you, Lord God, for every distraction coming down, every wall, O God, that the enemy is erecting. Let it be brought down low in the name of Jesus, for you are the Lord, her God. And besides you, God, there is no other. I thank you right now for the word of the Lord. I thank you for the outpouring of your spirit. I thank you for great grace and for glory. In Jesus mighty name, I pray, Amen.
