Today’s Devotional Scripture: 4 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.
16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. - Matthew 5:14-16 KJV
2 Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men:
3 Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart. - 2 Corinthians 3:2-3 KJV

We are not meant to be hidden forever. We are not meant to remain in our cocoon for ages and ages. There are seasons of rest and recovery, and there are seasons when we rise and walk with God. As you are flowing in this walk with God this morning, remember that the season is set by God.
Through personal relationship, through prayer, through fasting, through following God, you hear, and you know when it’s time to grow. You know when it is time to rise. You know when it is time to be the light. The world needs you fully free, fully open, fully healed.
The world needs to see that God is still real, that He is still able, that He is a conqueror, the one who loves us and keeps us in all seasons. The world needs to see that God is God, and for many people on this planet, the only God that they will see is in you and me. They will see the Lord our God through our faith, through our joy, through our presence, through difficult circumstances, through our hearts being open to healing, and to forgive and move forward.
The world is looking for the evidence that God is here.
Romans 8 tells us that all of the earth is waiting in eager expectation for the manifestation of the sons of God. Romans 8:18-19 reads:
18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
19 For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God. - Romans 8:18-19 KJV
All of the earth is waiting.
The creature here in scripture is the earth. The darkness in this world, the heaviness of our planet, the nations at war, the division between women and men of different hues, different nations, and of different beliefs between women and men. These divisions, these breaking points between relationships, and these hindrances to the will and the glory of God must fall.
The division, the subjugation, the doubt, the insecurity, the fears must break. Your faith is not just about you. Your faith becomes a shining beacon to all who are around you. This beacon, this light, this lamp, this is what people look to. They look to the evidence, and something inside of them sparks.
There’s a little hope that lights up when they see you shining, when they see you being the light, when they hear the glory of the Lord in you, when they can sense the joy of the Lord in you, despite all that you’ve gone through and despite all that you’ve overcome.
You’re still joyful. You’re still present. You’re still here. You’re still glorifying God, and you haven’t quit. You will not quit.
Pressing towards the mark of the prize of the high calling in Christ Jesus, you’re forgetting everything that’s behind you. You’re letting go of the past. You’re forgiving. And the moment that you start walking with God to that degree, you start shining. This is not a literal hill.
This is more of an embrace of your God‑given identity to be an overcomer in Christ Jesus. To be the light, even in the small things, even in the thank you letters, even in the checking on a friend and praying for them. That is what being the light looks like. That is what being the heart of the Father in the earth looks like.
This is what we do when we desire to be the hands and feet of God in the earth. We shine. We relinquish control, and we give God everything—our hearts, our minds, our souls, our emotions. We surrender it all because God is worthy of our worship. He’s worthy of our praise, and he’s waiting on our full submission.
He’s waiting on our full trust. He’s waiting for our hearts to open and to receive that he is the Lord our God. Get on the hill and receive the blessing of the King.
Closing Devotional Prayer
My Prayer for You:
Father, in the name of Jesus, thank you. Thank you, Lord God, for the blessings that make rich and add no sorrow. Thank you for the grace. Thank you for your great love. Lord, there’s nobody like you. There’s nobody above you. You are the King of glory, I Am that I Am.
Thank you, Lord God, that through it all, you are our God, that even in the midnight hour, O God, you are with us. Thank you for keeping us, God, for restoring the joy of the Lord in us, in our homes, in our hearts, in our minds. Lord, I thank you for the mighty woman of God.
I thank you that she is here, ready to receive and to operate in all that you’ve called her to, to receive the blessings of our great King. I thank you, Lord, and I pray in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.
