** Audio Version of Evening Devotional: From This Moment Audio 548
Opening Prayer:
Father, in the name of Jesus, thank you. Thank you, God, that we are here now in another evening. We made it through another day. I thank you, Lord God, for your mercies are new every morning in that the grace of God has covered us all day.
All day we’ve been covered by your love. All day we’ve been kept by you. I thank you for the favor of God, for traveling mercies, for her family, for the going out and the coming in. I thank you for the peace of God. Despite what has happened today, we submit ourselves unto you, O Lord.
Full of desire, full of tiredness, full of frustration, full of just wanderings, and we put all of that down, and we say thank you. Thank you for being the King of glory. Thank you for being the great I AM. Thank you for moving everything that’s not like you.
Thank you that every wall must come down. You are the King of glory. You are the great I AM. And you do not make mistakes. You know exactly what the mighty woman of God is dealing with. You know what the weight is that she is carrying. You know the plans that you have for her.
And you know the principalities and the dark forces that have been erected against her. And through it all, you are still God. Through it all, you are mighty to deliver and mighty to set free. Through it all, you are greater than every circumstance, greater than every weight, greater than every stronghold, greater than every chain.
I thank you for covering the mighty woman of God. I thank you for covering us tonight, each and every one of us, as we are here now, resting our hearts, our minds, and our bodies. I thank you for a deep rest that goes beyond the surface.
I thank you that her sleep is covered in the name of Jesus, that her family is covered, that her home is blessed, and that she can rest in you. She can rest knowing that you are God alone and there’s nobody like you.
There’s no one beside you. You are our great God. So, Lord, I thank you. I bless you. I give you glory, for you are God alone. I thank you, Lord, and I pray in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.
Evenings can be difficult. They can be full of frustration, tiredness, and discouragement. You may feel like you haven’t accomplished much today. You may feel as if there are things that you aren’t even remotely finished with yet.
You know in your heart that you want to finish them. You know that you want them done. But the heaviness is just there. The doubts are there. Wondering whether you could have done some things right, maybe replaying the day in your mind, and wondering, are you doing the grace and glory of God?
Are you operating in the fullness? What does life look like when you are walking with God? How does the blessed life look in the Father? Because there will be ups and there will be downs and so on.
Evenings like this, when it’s easy to just ruminate on the issues of the day, on the failures, on the mistakes, the missteps, and the things you wish you could change, make a commitment to live in this moment, breathe in this moment, and be free of yesterday. Be free of every passing moment. Be free of it. Let it go.
You can’t change it. But what you can do is stand in the fullness of His Word and the strength of His Spirit, and you can receive what thus saith the Lord over your life from here. Now. Psalm 46:1 tells us that God is a very present help in the time of trouble. In times of trouble, He is there with us to help us, to assist, to bring clarity of vision.
He’s there. We are not alone. We don’t have to wonder about what’s next. We know who our God is. We know. And so when we look at the issues of the day, we look at whether or not we’ve done the right things, and we consider things we wish we could change, yesterday, today, years ago, but here and now we are very present. Here and now, we are rooted in the Word of the Lord. Here and now, we’re rooted in the reality that God is faithful.
Here is where you take your stand.
Here is where you rest in God’s Spirit.
Here is where you let go of every fear, every distraction, all the weight, and every wall.
Here is where you get your freedom.
Here is where you receive your redemption.
The day is done. You can’t undo it. But what you can do is commit to walking with the Lord into the next moment, the next day, the next week, the next year. You can commit to walking with God every step of the way, knowing that our God is faithful, that he is with you, and he is more than able.
I pray that this evening’s devotional blesses you. I’ll see you in tomorrow’s Evening Devotional. Good night.
Good evening.
