The world can get heavy. Expenses are flowing. Needs need to be met in our households. Finances are usually an issue, especially around slow seasons like the winter. All of these things are things we learn to walk through and carry with King Jesus. We learn to walk through the heaviness.
We learn to walk through the limitations. We learn to hold fast to the confession of our faith. These things allow us to be able to make it through low seasons.
The Bible tells us to be content whether abased or abound because it is so easy to have discontent come in and touch every part of your life. It’s easy to have the spirit of discontent and frustration come in and block you from seeing the goodness of God.
Because of this, we have a world that is often frustrated, anxious, worried, sad, and depressed around, what they do not have and have not achieved. Things that they have strived for and hoped for that they have not seen yet cause their hearts to grow weary.
Through it all, God gives us His word that encourages us to stand in the midst of the trials in the belief that He is God. In this season, as we look at our lives and we look at all that we are struggling with, taking a moment to stop and truly look at what we already have will be the difference maker. It’ll be the key to you seeing the miracle, the breakthrough, the faith made whole.
Instead of seeing what we don’t have,
looking at what we do have makes all the difference.
We see this with Ruth on the road to Bethlehem, that despite losing it all, the one thing she did have, she honored. The one thing she did have, she committed to. And in Ruth 1:16-17, she made a vow to stick with her mother-in-law and go forth no matter what. This is the beginning of her turnaround. This is the beginning of her breakthrough.
