So often when we desire to hear God, we pray and we lean in. We fast. We turn down our plates. But what if hearing God is as simple as following that still small voice every single day? Everything that you hear in your heart is led by the Holy Spirit to do, you do it. What if life was so simple on this walk with God, that simply moving in the things of God daily, slowly but surely paved a path out of every low place, every broken thing, every mismatch, every difficult situation.
What if God already knew that you would be right where you are right now and provided a way of escape? The only way would be to simply walk with him, to trust in him. To do what David did and ask, “Lord, shall I pursue, Lord, shall I go up?” These two statements from David made their way forward through every situation as recounted in the Bible.
From the moment that he faced Goliath to Ziklag, all the way to being crowned King of Israel, he always asked, Lord, shall I go up? Will you deliver them into my hand? And he listened for the response. Now we can say that this is as simple as praying to God, that that was a form of prayer and that will be true. However, we cannot treat this like we do normal prayers.
Where we're looking to connect with the Holy Ghost, have God move on our behalf, to pray is different than inquiring of the Lord. To inquire of the Lord is to have a conversation with him. And maybe you don't hear God that well, or you're not really certain if you're hearing God clearly, and that is okay. The faith that God is speaking to you and receiving that he is God is number one on your journey of hearing God clearly and of following his precepts and his path.
The way of escape is always provided. There's not one situation where you'd be placed in where God is not going to give you a way out. There's not one place that you felt stuck in that God is not giving you a way to come higher, to release the chains, and to move forward. The answers are in His scripture and in his word. And the understanding of that scripture will help you to further your walk with God in true relationship.
Because scripture is the beginning. It is our teacher. Scripture brings revelation, but there still must be Holy Spirit-led action. You can know the word, be well-read, be deep in that word, and still must have a relationship with God. One where you trust Him. One where you allow Him to guide you. One where every wall comes down because you believed and you moved in the faith that moved the obstacles out of the way.
It is the faith of the believer that ushers in change. It is the faith that you have that ushers in manifestation. It doesn't just happen. It happens because you knew it would happen. It happens because you believed it would happen. And that is where we start. We start with the word and we start with our faith. We do it again and again and again.
We trust again, again and again. We walk with God again and again and again. So that we begin to see a lifetime of manifestation, a lifetime of God walking with us. We solidify our ear. As the Bible says, my sheep know my voice. He knows you, but do you know him? Do you know his voice? And are you willing to walk in the path that he's showing you? Are you ready to see the path forward by faith, not by sight? This is not going to be a function of your natural man.
This would be a function of your spirit man. As you connect to the Holy Ghost, through worship, through praise, through studying scripture, through fasting and prayer. This is a holistic journey of you becoming all that God has called you to become by following him every step of the way. This is the promise of God. This is what we can expect as believers, that we can trust him, that we can know real love, and that we can see the shift in Jesus mighty name.
Now is the time to spring forth. Now is the time for Holy Ghost revelation. Now is the time for the Lord our God to show you a new way.
Closing Devotional Prayer
My prayer for you, Father, in the name of Jesus, I thank you. I thank you for the mighty woman of God. I thank you, O God, that every distraction is coming down, that the walls are falling, God. I thank you, God, that she can trust you.
I thank you, Lord, for the grace and the glory being released in her right now, being released on her journey now. For Lord, you are a strong tower. She can run into you and she is safe. She is not alone, O God. Lord, no matter what she may be grappling with, you are still her God. I thank you for the fire of God. I thank you, O God, for the winds of change.
Lord, thank you for increase over the mighty woman of God. And I thank you that there's a break in the mountain going forth, no distractions and no delays. The glory of God is coming to release and untether every old thing and all things are made new. Thank you for the woman of God.
Thank you for the grace. And thank you, God, that she is following the path home. I thank you and I pray in Jesus mighty name, Amen.
