Despite the chaos, the overwhelm, and the weapons of the enemy, your Faith is still the currency of the kingdom. Learn more about our upcoming Faith In Action Workshop
Why Your Faith Is Under Attack
Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen. - Hebrews 11:1
Your faith is the tool God uses to expand the kingdom through demonstration, testimonials, and the manifestation of miracles. If the enemy can cause you to mistake complacency for contentment, he can cause you to fall short of the glory of God and settle for almost.
We see this in Genesis chapter 19:
17 And it came to pass, when they had brought them forth abroad, that he said, Escape for thy life; look not behind thee, neither stay thou in all the plain; escape to the mountain, lest thou be consumed.
18 And Lot said unto them, Oh, not so, my Lord:
19 Behold now, thy servant hath found grace in thy sight, and thou hast magnified thy mercy, which thou hast shewed unto me in saving my life; and I cannot escape to the mountain, lest some evil take me, and I die:
20 Behold now, this city is near to flee unto, and it is a little one: Oh, let me escape thither, (is it not a little one?) and my soul shall live.
21 And he said unto him, See, I have accepted thee concerning this thing also, that I will not overthrow this city, for the which thou hast spoken.
22 Haste thee, escape thither; for I cannot do anything till thou be come thither. Therefore the name of the city was called Zoar. - Genesis 19:17-22
Here we see that Lot was given a way of escape from Sodom and Gomorrah. He and his family were given the grace to reach the mountain. Everything up to the mountain was determined to be destroyed once they reached the mountain. Lot did not believe he could make it to the mountains and prayed for Zoar to be the resting place of him and his family.
The angels of the Lord decided NOT to overthrow Zoar due to the Lot’s lack of faith. He did not believe and a place that was scheduled to be destroyed was saved. We can consider that a blessing of God but the subsquent failure of faith in his daughters caused the creation of the nation states that became the enemies of Israel (the Moabites and the people of Ammon).”
Survival in “Almost” Is A Pitfall of the Enemy
If your fear can successfully cause you to settle in “Almost”
If the obstacles can successfully convince you that “Almost” is better
And if the limitations of your own understanding can make “Almost” an acceptable compromise, the enemy can successfully rob you of the manifestation that God has assigned to your faith.
This is why I love beautiful reminders of the power of our faith like Hebrews 11. We see that, by faith, God has been glorified all through Scripture. He is till being glorified by those who believe. By faith, I’ve seen incredible breakthroughs in my life and business. I have seen leaps that were considered impossible while successfully traversing low seasons with the same faith.
Faith is a multifaceted gem of incredible worth and value given to us by God through His Holy Spirit. We all have a measure of faith according to Romans 12:3 King James Version.
Working that measure takes persistence and the fruit of the Spirit. There’s no skipping this part of your journey. No shortcuts. Faith is indeed the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen.
Faith In Action Workshop
This is a season of stepping into great faith in the midst of life’s challenges. This Saturday, I am doing a deep dive into a faith workshop for a small group of believers who desire to deepen their walk with God and step into greater faith.
The workshop is going to be intimate, and the full details are here:

Once the spaces are filled, enrollment will be closed. We desire to keep it intimate so that each person can get the support they need in their personal faith walk. The ability to ask questions, be heard, and get what you need is best achieved in an intimate setting.
See you in the workshop. - The Daily Devotional Team
