Today’s Devotional Scripture: 28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. - Romans 8:28-29 KJV

Audio Version Of This Devotional: Don’t Give Up Now Audio
Every step has a purpose. For every step you take, God has a plan. Romans 8:28 clearly tells us that all things work together. So missteps, quick steps, things you wish you could change, things you are glad that you did, things that seem like blessings, and things that seem like mistakes, all of these things work together for the good.
It is working. We don't always see that when we're in it. To be in the middle of a journey and to not know when the end is coming near is what many encounter on their journey of growth and elevation. On their journey of seeing the fullness of God, the inability to see the end can be discouraging. You can literally get tired and decide to settle. You can decide to cling to situations that feel like the best that you can possibly get.
You cling to the here and now, attempting to fix what you can versus walking fully in the creativity of God because it is a lot. Life can get really heavy. So this scripture in Romans 8:28 comes as a reminder for us to know that all of these things are working. It is a reminder to keep going. Now verse 29 goes a little deeper because this said for him, “For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate” for the transformation of our minds.
He has already laid things out for us and made it a part of our purpose and plans for us to see the fullness of this journey. Don't give up and don't grow complacent just because things have been the way they've been for years. Circumstances haven't really changed even though you've been attempting to move the needle. So things don't look like they are working, but the Bible says:
6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. - Hebrews 11:6 KJV
The ability to fully trust, to lean in, and to continue walking when things just don't seem fair or worse: things feel like they're just okay. So we talk ourselves out of going the distance. We talk ourselves out of doing what feels like unnecessary work. You grow complacent when you don't fully see the promises of God. It is an easy way to kind of settle into a rhythm, to settle around the mountains, and to settle in circular patterns that feel like movement, but take us around and around as it did for the Israelites.
We circled and we circled for 40 years that mountain. We saw certain things over and over again. The cyclic nature and behaviors that we operated in inside the wilderness allowed a form of fear to come in that caused 10 of the 12 spies to bring an evil report about the Lord. In other words, they did not believe and did not bring a good report.
So of the 10, none were able to see the promised land. Don't give up now and don't overthink this next season. All that God has for you is in the finish. You must get to the other side of this hallway moment. Get to the other side of just not knowing if it's going to work and have a made-up mind that all things work. Have a made-up mind that God has predestinated your victory. He has already lined things up for that reason alone.
Trusting him is a major part of the journey. Trusting in God is how we see forward movement. Don't give up now. Keep going. Don't give up now. Keep believing. Keep seeing the fullness of God. Keep receiving that God is more than able.
Closing Devotional Prayer
My prayer for you, Father, in the name of Jesus, I thank you. I thank you for the mighty woman of God. I thank you that she was able to listen this morning or to read this morning and walk fully in all that she is called to walk in. I thank you, O God, that there's nothing missing and nothing broken.
Everywhere that she is right now in this moment is where she is meant to be for the working of her faith and for the expansion of the kingdom of heaven. We serve the Lord as the breakthrough God. I thank you that the Lord of the breakthrough is coming now over her life. I thank you for the outpouring of the spirit of the living God, which brings forth fire and empowerment and courage.
I thank you that the mighty woman of God will begin to see it, that she is being relit, reignited in the name of Jesus for the work that you've called her to. Allow her heart to open up for her to see it because Lord God, she will see the harvest. The Bible says in Galatians 6:9, to grow not weary in well-doing, for there will be a harvest when we faint not.
I thank you that the mighty woman of God is no longer fainting, that she's not willing to quit. I thank you, Lord, and I pray in Jesus' mighty name, Amen.
