The Message For Today (December 1, 2024):
Audio Version Of This Devotional: Break It Up Audio
It's time to dance and break up the fallow ground. Prepare your heart for a move of the Lord. Prepare yourself for this new season. Release every old thing today. Shake it off and give it to God. It was never yours to carry anyway.
God has given you assignments. He has given you a purpose. When you follow God and walk in his way, it makes everything worth it. What God is doing in this season requires a full-bodied yes. It requires you to let go of every old thing, every old loss, and every lesson. Release it now.
We're in a new season. We're in a new moment. Take hold of Kairos and be present. Now, in this moment, there is nothing more that you can do about the past. You can't go back. You can't undo what is done. But what you can do now is give God the glory. You can let go and you can run on. What is it God is calling you to do now? What is it God is calling you to feel, to be in this moment?
God says that He is a very present help in the times of trouble. Right here, right now, God is able to restore. He's able to bring recompense. He's able to reconcile. He's able to bind the hand of the enemy. He's able to undo every seed and evil seed that was planted. He's able to tear the tares from the wheat. In the parable of the farmer, we see that the enemy sowed discord and sowed tares as he was in the harvest season.
But the Lord said to not separate the tares from the wheat until it was due season. And in doing so, that the tares would be burned and that the wheat would thrive. So there may be a season where you felt like you couldn't separate the old from the new. Like you feel like you couldn't break old things. It might've felt like you couldn't overcome the hand of the enemy in your life, in your children and in your finances.
But God is able to break the fallow ground. He's able to make the ground good again for you. Today's cornerstone scripture is all about recognizing the ground; recognizing whether it is good or thorny or whether it is stone. Whether it will check out good seed or whether it will choke out the promises. These are things that we can see by examining the soil. But this soil isn't tangible soil. This soil is the soul of your heart and mind. This is the soil of you.
You are good ground and when you begin to recognize that, when you begin to recognize that every old battle is broken and that you can let go of every old thing, the Glory of the Lord can be manifest in you. The promises of God will begin to come forth when you begin to see that you are good ground. What does this take?
It takes going into worship.
It takes prayer.
It takes fasting.
It takes grace.
It takes you saying yes to God when you don't feel like you're ready.
It takes you letting go of every broken thing and knowing that what is done is done.
It is finished.
But what is now is the ability for God to reconcile and to restore you back to the original design. You are not broken. You are not stuck in any old thing. You are not a victim. You are empowered by the Holy Ghost to overcome every trial and fiery circumstance. God has made you powerful. He has created you and he doesn't make mistakes.
You are able to overcome. He is able to restore. You can see it. There is nothing too hard for the Lord.
14 Is any thing too hard for the Lord? At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son. - Genesis 18:14 KJV
He is able to bring it in and break and bind the hand of the enemy once and for all. The time is now for you to receive the Lord and to know in your heart and to believe with all your heart that he is God. It is time for you to sit in the possibilities today.
Sit in the possibilities. Worship and sing over your heart. Let the joy be returned to you 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 fold. Let the joy be restored unto you. That is your strength. That is the strength of every believer. It is the joy of the Lord that keeps us. It's the joy of the Lord that restores us. It's the joy of the Lord that makes way.
It is our worship that tears down every stronghold. It is the praise that elevates everything that is God and that is goodly over every negative report and over every negative thing in your life. Whose report will you believe today? Break it up. Break up the ground. Break up the atmosphere. Break it up and know that the time for you to receive is now.
The time for there to be harvest is now. The command to break it up, to examine the ground only comes when there is harvest to come forth, when there is seed that is being planted that will bear good fruit. You will no longer see unmet promises. You will no longer see unbelief Choke out the things of God. Put away this world and know that God can do anything. Know that with men, this may be impossible, but with God, all things are possible.
26 But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible. - Matthew 19:26 KJV
Closing Devotional Prayer
My prayer for you: Father, in the name of Jesus, thank you, God, for the reconciliation. Thank you, God, for the grace and the glory. Thank you, God, for being Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. Thank you, God, for this season. Thank you, God, for the revelation. Thank you, God, for peace and power.
I thank you that the mighty woman of God is rising, that, Lord, all the strong, stony and weedy ground is being broken, that, Lord, God, you're fertilizing in her, God, a new heart and a right spirit. Lord, God, you are giving her the ability, oh, God, and the reminder that she can shift herself, that she can open up her heart. That she can harden not her heart, and that she can lean not to her own understanding.
You're reminding us, God, through this devotional today, that you are able to do it, that you can restore, that you can keep, that you indeed do love. You love, you love, and for that, Lord, I bless you, that you love. You love us. It is you who first loved us, God. It is you, God, who knew us from before we were in our mother's womb.
It is you, oh, Lord, that is keeping us. It is you, oh, God, that restores. It is you, oh, God, that keeps your promises. It is you, Lord. It is you, God. It is you, God. It is the favor of God with a yes and amen. Now, God, let us bring forth, let there be a shift, God. Lord, I thank you, oh, God, that things are breaking in the atmosphere, and that, Lord, God, your word is able, for, Lord, God, there's nothing too hard for you. I thank you, Lord, and I pray in Jesus' mighty name. Amen.
