Pause. Stop. Breathe. There is a power that you harness the moment you stop. You tell the world that your peace is more important than all the false gods. You tell the world that God is first. Your peace is first. You tell every principality and dark force that God has the floor.

The enemy doesn’t want you being still because he doesn’t want you harnessing the power of that pause, of that breath, of creating the moment that God can come into and speak and pour to you.

Our scriptures today speak plainly of the ways that we have versus the ways that God has. Yes, God may have a different way. When you’re looking at the issues of life and your experiences and your wisdom and all the things you’ve grown through, it’s easy to lean into it and to quickly resolve issues. The pace that the world has set is breakneck. It is always moving. It is always going. There is always something to look at, something to see. “Hurry before you miss it.”

Be Still & Know That He Is God

But God says, Be still and know that I am God. Psalm 46:10. It’s powerful for two reasons. It’s not just speaking of being still in the natural, but it’s speaking to the spirit that you are no longer going to go with the next wind, the next breath, the next thing. You decide right then and there to stop, to breathe, to sit in the presence of the living God, to sit in the presence of His word, to worship, to sing.
