Prayer Focus for Today (May 22, 2026)

Prayer for emotional healing. The mercies of God are new every morning. I pray that the weight would break in the name of Jesus. I pray that the environment would respond to the glory of God. Thank God for healing and wholeness that goes beyond all that we can ask or think according to the power at work within us. Praise God for the good work of the Lord, tables turning around, and the peace of God that surpasses all understanding. I pray in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.

The Message For Today (May 22, 2026):

The term “and it came to pass” is estimated to be in the Bible more than 720 times in the King James Version alone. And this is just in the Old Testament. Over 700‑plus times, scripture has reflected that God keeps His promises. The word has shown us time and time again that God is faithful, that He is the promise keeper, and that He makes ways out of no way.

As we go through a world that has decidedly stood against Jesus, stood against his power, and stood against the fact that he died on the cross and rose from the dead for us, in the midst of that, we have the ability and the capacity to be the difference and to believe. To have that faith despite the way the world hates Jesus shows your heart and your commitment to truth in your life: the truth of God’s will, the truth of God’s Word, and the truth of his way.

Time and time again, God is proving Himself faithful in relationships, in business, and in life. He has turned situations around suddenly. Over and over again in scripture, we see the way that it’s happened. We see the way that the Lord has gone forth and changed the hearts of men, changed the lives of men, changed situations, turned tables, and opened doors where there was no way. And that term “and it came to pass” is an affirmation.

It is a deep breath from heaven, saying, This is the Lord’s doing. This is the will of the Father. This is the evidence that he keeps his promises.

Isaiah 48:3 reflects that same thing. The Lord keeps His promises. He keeps His Word. And so, as He’s speaking to the children of Israel, as He’s speaking to the house of Jacob and pouring out the Word of the Lord, He is speaking about Himself and His power in the midst thereof.

The Lord is faithful. And when it’s time for us to move, He is a demonstration. His faith comes forth to make us whole, to transform our lives so that we may see the grace and glory of the sovereign God. “And it came to pass” is the breath of God saying:

That’s what the Lord says each time we see that phrase. It is a declaration from the heavens into the written word that thousands of years later, we can now see in our lives, the way we have allowed God in or the way we have shut him out. We can see the ways that we’ve allowed the grace and glory of God to go forth suddenly, creating and breaking things down.

And there are times when we can see the plan we had working out or not working out, and the way we often take hold of our lives in a way where we feel we are in complete control. There’s no one else in control. There’s no other third party. There’s no other need. There’s no other desire that God has for us.

That idea that your life is a mistake or somehow extra, that He didn’t have a plan for it, is wrong. The scripture shows us that many of us are a part of the promise of God. We are a part of the finished work. And many of us have received the finished work, that we may be a demonstration to others. We’ve seen hearts and minds change so that we can show the demonstration of commitment.

We’ve seen doors open where the enemy thought they were closed, and we saw the faithfulness of God go forth in the midst thereof. Because God is more than able. Through the ups and downs of life, through the fashion of the world, through seasons of lack and seasons of plenty, God is still God alone. “And it came to pass” His Word will come forth.

His will, will come forth. We’ll begin to see transformation. We’ll begin to see growth and change. We’ll begin to see every old system, every ideology, fall away. But first, we must recognize right in the place that we’re in that the Lord operates right where we are, even in seed form. He’s speaking to us of our reality. He’s speaking to us of our destiny. He’s showing us the way forward, day in and day out.

The grace and glory of God is moving to intercept and interject the grace and glory of God in our lives if we allow it, if we open up our hearts, if we are open to suddenly: sudden breakthrough, sudden transformation, sudden changes. Maybe, just maybe, we step into that. We step into the understanding that “and it came to pass” is not just a guess. It is the recognition of a prophetic decree, a prophetic utterance, a prophetic Word.

All of this follows the prompting of the Holy Spirit. And none of it matters if we do not believe that he’s more than able. So, like the beat of a drum, like the beat of a drum, the negativity, the unbelief, the doubt comes in. But the Lord says, “And it came to pass.” Then nothing can stop what He’s doing in your life. Nothing can block it.

We must be ready. We must be prepared to shift. We must be ready for new opportunity. We must be ready, prepared, shown a new way, to simply honor that God’s Word is true and faithful. We’re sitting in the reality of it day in and day out. His Word prevails if we let Him prevail, if we operate in the grace and glory of God in our lives.

And it is all committed, the grace and glory of God, is all committed to seeing the finished work of God, to seeing “and it came to pass” in the lives of those around me, in my life, and in my walk with God as we are walking today.

I pray in the name of Jesus that your heart and mind open up to the fact that He’s waiting on you to decree, to believe. Sitting. God is waiting. And sometimes these doors, they close. They close with sudden ferocity that we could not expect. It is because the Lord has called us out.

Nevertheless, and it will come to pass. Every word out of the mouth of our Father, we will hear. It is done. As you look at the issues of life and you walk through your day today, start to decree the Word of the Lord: “And it came to pass.” Start to look up those Scripture references, over 700 of them, that end in “and it came to pass.”

Sudden shifts, breakthroughs, open doors, miracles, prophetic words coming to pass. All of that happened inside of this moment. “And it came to pass.” The Lord has made bare his mighty right arm before the people. “And it came to pass” shows us this growth, shows us the possibilities, shows us that God is still God and we are not alone. He is here with us. He loves us.

And so, “and it came to pass” over your life, over your finances, over your children, over reconciliation in your life, over the joy of the Lord that you haven’t felt in a while: “And it came to pass.” Just remain faithful in prayer, disciplined in order, and trusting in the name of Jesus.

Closing Devotional Prayer

My prayer for you:

Father, in the name of Jesus, thank you. Thank you, Lord God, that your mercies are new every morning. Thank you for the grace and glory of God. Lord God, you are Alpha, Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. You are God alone.

So I thank you, Lord God, for the shift. I thank you for the grace and glory. Thank you that the mighty woman of God is up, and I pray that as she goes through the Scripture seeking out those terms “and it came to pass,” that she’s going to begin to find answers for where she is, that she’s going to begin to find clarity, God.

She’s going to begin to find new faith, that greater faith, for the Word tells us that faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of the Lord. I thank you that the Scripture will go forth as she begins to read it, seek it out, utter the scriptures, read through, gaining understanding, and increase in her faith.

I thank you, Lord God, that you are making new ways for the mighty woman of God, that she’s going to begin to see it. She’s going to begin to see doors open up, her children turning around, her finances lining up, her husband being blessed, rest, O God. Lord, I thank you that this will go forth, O God, in this season, for you are God alone.

We will see it. We will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. So, Lord, I thank you for the mighty woman of God. I thank you for the breakthrough. I thank you for the healing and the joy. I thank you, Lord, and I pray in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.

Prayer Focus for Today (May 21, 2026)

Prayer for His will. You are not alone. Our God is with you. The Lord is mighty to save and mighty to set free. I pray that the Lord break everything that is not like Him. As you walk through this day, I pray that God’s will becomes the umbrella over your life and that every word He has spoken over your life comes to pass.

His word cannot return to Him void. I pray that every hindering spirit come down as the Lord, our God, reigns over all things in the heavens and the earth. I pray that He shakes up the environment and loose every chain. I pray in Jesus’ mighty name, Amen!

We live in a world that fails to understand the need and the impact of honor. We forget that opening the door, operating in gratitude, turning that light on, and shining on someone with a massive thank you and gratitude for who they are and what they’ve done, can open more doors than anything you can do on your own.

When honor is on the table, the doors remain open for connection, for trust, for relationship, and for growth. God begins to have his way when there is an openness. God begins to change our lives when we have released every old thing and torn down every wall and decided against all odds to trust Him, to lean in, to not allow the world to tell us that God is not worthy of it.

Or that we just did it on our own, or it’s just nature or science, or whatever reason people will give you for attempting to cut back on your praise and worship. Whatever that weapon is, call it out in the name of Jesus, call it to carpet so that it cannot hide.

Because anything that tries to stop you from praising and honoring and glorifying the Lord is something that doesn’t want you to prosper in the truth thereof. The enemy does not want you to break through into that place of revelation in your life and in your business. He doesn’t want you to do it. He doesn’t want you to break through to understanding the absolute power that is honor, in every season, and in every hour. Especially when we feel overwhelmed and tired and don’t feel like doing it. A little bit of honor goes a long way.

Now, here in the scripture, we have three different verses of scripture, one in Psalm 18, another in Psalm 145, and one in Revelation, and all three are saying that the Lord is worthy, that He’s worthy to be lifted up. He’s worthy to be praised. He’s worthy to be lifted.

We believe that He’s worthy of being praised, but so many people attempt to undermine and attempt to break your faith that they will start to say, “Well, you did the hard work, you earned that,” when you know in your heart that it was the grace and glory of God that kept you in the season, that it wasn’t just you.

And this is not false humility. This is honoring God for His strong arm around you, for His embrace through every season, good and bad, giving thanks in all things according to 1 Thessalonians 5:18. The Lord is good and he’s mighty to save and mighty to deliver. And when we just lean into that gratitude and that thanksgiving in all things, just honoring Him, what we begin to do is set up a new reality for ourselves, and that is facilitated by gratitude, faith, and grace.

It is not rooted in fear, it’s not rooted in doubt, it’s not rooted in being closed off and fearful. It is open, it is loving, it is trusting. It knows that peace that you’re looking for, that grace that God desires to give you, is on the other side of trusting someone. It’s on the other side of opening it up. It’s on the other side of paying the cost if there is a cost financially involved.

All of these things contribute to us growing in our gratitude and growing in our honoring of God. That even though it may not be what we want, it is what it is, and we can be grateful right in the midst of it. We may not have all that we desire right in this moment, but it is certainly coming in season. So don’t grow weary; just keep moving and growing in the things of God.

As we begin to walk through the Word in the scriptures today, bear in mind that these are all about worshiping God, each and every one of them. Even Revelation is all about glory and honor and power, that as we praise the Lord, that we’re also ready to receive. Because when we bless God, he blesses us. When we are obedient to God and walking with Him and trusting in Him, He begins to answer the desires of our hearts.

He begins to break down the fallow ground, and then our lives begin to line up in a way where it reflects the glory, it reflects the peace, it reflects the joy, it reflects the fact that you trust God. It reflects honor. We’re looking for lives and hearts that reflect honor.

And in this case the Lord has called us to bear this assignment, for us to carry this word of praise and honor out into the world. Blessing our mother and father not just in the Spirit but also in the natural for doing the best they could with what they had, blessing those who despitefully use you, even though that does not mean going back into the pain, for you can forgive and release in Jesus’ name.

And so seeing all of that happen and just seeing what God can do for you, just committing to prayer, committing to fasting, committing to all things new, committing to honor is essential. This is the key. As you begin to look at the issues of life, in your life, in your heart and your mind, and in the world, remember that gratitude is the first open door.

The Bible tells us, with thanksgiving, be careful for nothing, but come before his throne of grace and mercy, and that with thanksgiving we can come before and make our desires known of the Lord. So even in prayer, God instructs us to be full of thanksgiving, full of glory, full of gratitude. This is the will of the Father: that we will all step into these massive places of gratitude and inner growth and mindset transformations and just seeing our lives light up because we finally decided to believe that God had His best for us and that we decided to walk in it.

Not just wait for it, but walk in the best, walk in the grace, walk in the glory, walk in the peace. Honoring the Lord your God, honoring those around you, honoring them, even the least of these, for what they have done. Just honor. A culture of honor in your life, in your ministry, in your business, in the next phase of your life is so important. It is so important.

The grace and glory of God is here. And as we come to the end of this devotional, I am praying that everything that you have lifted up before God gets addressed, that everything that you’ve prayed about is taken care of, and that as you leave this devotional, after the prayer, after you leave this devotional, that you carry that joy, that you carry that honor, and you carry it into your day, into every connection you can.

Pouring out honor never gets old, and it only continues to open the flow over and over again.

Closing Devotional Prayer

My prayer for you:

Father, in the name of Jesus: thank you. Thank you, Lord God. Thank you that your mercies are new every morning. Thank you for the fire of God. Thank you that there is no limits to what you can do. You are God alone.

I thank you that the mighty woman of God is aware of this fact and that she’s ready, O God, to go forth in all the places and the things you called her. She is not alone; she’s covered by you. Thank you, King of Glory, for covering the mighty woman of God. Thank you. Thank you, God, for breaking every wall.

Thank you, Lord God, for reminding her that you are with her wherever she goes, that you will never leave her nor forsake her. For the Word decrees, O God, that you will never leave us nor forsake us. So I thank you that the mighty woman of God will learn to prosper, that we’ll learn to walk fully in you, and that we may prosper even as our souls prosper.

So thank you, King of Glory, for the mighty woman of God. Thank you, God, for her blessing, for her being here, and for getting to the end of this devotional. I pray a blessing upon her, God. I thank you for the finishing anointing for those who listened all the way to the end, O God, that they made it to the end. Lord, pour out your Spirit over those who finished this devotional, and they’re now sitting with it. God, bless them with fresh revelation, new ideals, and creativity straight from the throne room.

I thank you for the finisher’s anointing of God. I thank you for the finished work, Lord God. I thank you, Lord God, and I bless you for the finished work. I thank you that we are not going to stop believing and we’re not going to stop contending. Lord, walk with the mighty woman of God. She’s ready to receive it. I thank you, Lord, and I pray in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.

The Lord is Keeping You Audio 554

We all know that the enemy desires to sift you as wheat. This is what Jesus said to the disciples when He said the enemy desired to sift you as wheat, but I prayed for you. When Jesus says this to the disciple, he is encouraging him, warning him, and admonishing him that the Lord is praying for him, that he is not alone, that God is with him.

To consider that the enemy may desire to shake you up, to unbalance you, to distract you, to sift you, and to like shake you around so it’s almost as if you’re nothing but a vapor, as wheat, right, just being thrown around and tossed about in life. That may be what you are dealing with right now. That may be what many of us are dealing with from season to season. But God is faithful, and He’s more than able.

When we look at our lives, and we look at all that happens, the fact that you are still here in this moment is an indication that God has not given up on you. He is not finished with you yet. And so while the enemy does his best to destabilize, to demoralize, and to distract, God is right there whispering in that still, small voice to trust Him.

He’s whispering that He sees you.

He’s whispering, and it’s our job to be still and to know that He is God. So tonight, commit yourself to complete stillness. Commit yourself to complete relaxation. Commit yourself to letting go of every door, every wall, every stronghold, and every issue in your heart and mind.

Release it from your heart and come into a place of divine rest in Christ Jesus. That you will experience the grace and glory of God, that you will experience the peace that surpasses understanding, that you will be replenished and restored in your spirit, and that you arise in the morning full of His glory, full of energy and peace.

I pray in the name of Jesus tonight. Even though the enemy desired to sift you as wheat, the Lord is with you. The Lord is keeping you. The Lord is mighty to save and mighty to deliver. It is the King of Glory that is interceding on behalf of all of us, day in and day out. May the Lord bless you. Have a good evening. I will see you in the next Evening Devotional.

We are not halfway through the year, and you can feel the weight. The weight of responsibility, the weight of the day‑to‑day task, and the weight of the schedules. All of it is heavy. And there are times when you get your rest, and there are times when it feels like no matter how much you sleep, it just feels as if you are tired.

With the newsreel constantly prophesying wars and death and fear, it’s easy to get caught up in all of the noise in the atmosphere. However, our God is greater than the fear. He’s greater than the newsreels. He’s greater than the weight that you’re feeling even in this moment. He’s greater.

When we go before the Lord, knowing that we are not perfect, that we have flaws, that we make mistakes, but that God is making a way, we can let go of all of the weight and rest in His presence, knowing that He is pouring out His Spirit, pouring out a fresh song, a new song of victory. So we don’t have to carry all of the baggage, and we don’t have to carry all of the pain. You don’t have to carry all of the weight of the day.

We can release it and just rest.

We can release what we think we need and just rest. We can release the frustration, we can release the overwhelm. We can release the things that we cannot control. And the thing that we can control, we can do fully. We can rest in the presence of the living God. We can rest in the presence of our King, knowing that God is more than able to. He is battle‑tested, He is proven, He is faithful.

The cornerstone scriptures today show us the importance of joy, of going a little further, of mirth, of being merry. These things are things that we often feel are conditional on whether or not things are going our way, whether or not things are going as we planned, or whether or not things are going in our favor. We just believe inherently that joy and mirth and being merry are conditional things that depend on anything outside of us, whereas God tells us that joy is of the Lord.

When we make the decision to turn to God and to seek His face, we are making a decision about who we will serve that day. We’re putting down all of the fear, all of the weight of the world, all of the idols, all of the distractions. We’re releasing all of that, and we’re coming before the Lord, making a decision to find ourselves in Him, to seek His Spirit, to know that He is more than able, to believe in our hearts that God is indeed with us.

This is what the enemy wants to fight. This is how he wants to contend. This is what he wants to steal from you. He wants to steal that joy. That is the strength of God. He wants to steal that merriment. He wants to steal it.

So even in your moments of exhaustion and in your moments of tiredness, the enemy comes in the form of things not going well. Your body being tired, you not wanting to do it again, or you not wanting to get up again. It’s almost as if the enemy always finds you right when you’re at the weakest possible moment of you giving up and turning back.

But the Word tells us to grow not weary. Scripturally, Isaiah 64:4 gives us a good indication of what we can expect when we wait. It says in Isaiah 64:4:

⁴ For since the beginning of the world men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither hath the eye seen, O God, beside thee, what he hath prepared for him that waiteth for him. - Isaiah 64:4 KJV

And so this scripture clearly shows us that waiting is the key, and that when we wait for the Lord, when we wait, when we are pressing in His presence, when we trust Him, when we decide to walk with Him, when we put everything else down and decide to lean into Him alone, then we are opening the door to seeing things that the world has never seen, hearing things the world has not heard, and receiving what surprises everyone else, what surprises the world, and what shocks them.

And so from the beginning it says, eyes have not seen, and ears have not heard. Now it also gives us the scripture in 1 Corinthians 2:9. But here in Isaiah 64:4 it specifically says, for him that waiteth for him. That is very different from he who loves the Lord. We can love our God, we can know that He’s able. But loving Him and honoring Him and trusting in Him are all three different things.

These are all three different things.

We can love God but not trust Him. We can trust God, and we can know that He’s more than able, but we have this fear that we’re not going to be able to see it. And so even though we trust God, there can even be unbelief in the midst of it, and the Bible tells us to only believe.

The Bible tells us of the dangers of unbelief, which we saw in Numbers 14. The unbelief of the Israelites caused so many of them their lives, so many of them to actually pass without ever seeing the promise of God. In this season, be mindful that the tired moments and the moments of exhaustion: these are the moments the enemy tries to sift you as wheat. He tries to undermine you. But the Lord is interceding for you. He’s praying for you. He’s fighting for you.

This is what we must remember day in and day out: that yes, we get tired, but the Lord is fighting for us. There’s room being made as we begin to walk with God through every life situation. God begins to turn tables, loose shackles, and place us in different positions of victory, of grace, of peace, of glory, and of soundness of mind.

This comes with His Spirit. This victory, this love, this outpouring comes because we know there’s more. So we don’t give up, as it says in Galatians 6:9. We don’t surrender, we don’t grow weary. What we do is we hold fast to the promises. We hold fast to the confession of our faith because God is faithful who promised us (Hebrews 10:23 KJV).

We turn away from the world.

We do not conform to the world, but we come before the Lord for the renewing, that we may be transformed by the renewing of our minds. This is what God shows us is His will. And so as you look at the issues of life, as you consider all of the weight of yesterday and the past weeks, remember that there is so much more that God has for you than this.

There is so much more that is in store for those that wait, for those who press and they tarry, and they trust in the Lord. They don’t just trust, they have complete faith that He is God, and they pray for the Lord to deal with their unbelief. These are the earmarks of a woman of God who knows that God is with her and that He will not fail, that the Lord our God is mighty inside of her, and that the Holy Spirit is working to go exceedingly, abundantly, above all that we can ask or think.

When you begin to walk like this, when you begin to believe like this, everything else can fade away, and the grace and glory of God can come forth mightily.;

Closing Devotional Prayer

My prayer for you:

Father, in the name of Jesus: thank you. Thank you, God, that your mercies are new every morning. Thank you. Thank you for this beautiful morning. I thank you for this day.

I pray a blessing upon the mighty woman of God, whether she’s listening to this in the morning, in the evening, in the afternoon. I thank you, God, that you’re right there with her, that you are more than able, that you are Jireh, that through the issues of life you are good and your mercy endureth forever.

Thank you, Lord, for surrounding the mighty woman of God, for shifting her heart and mind, for opening her to receiving, O God, what thus saith the Lord through these scriptures. God, speak to the mighty woman of God. Speak to her spirit, God. Break everything that’s not like you.

There’s More In Store • Daily Devo #553

We see something peculiar in Acts chapter 4. In Acts 4:31, we see that the disciples, the apostles, as they’re praying, as the people of God are praying together, that the place was shaken and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost.

So we see that the Holy Spirit is pouring out deeply through Acts 4:31 because they prayed. Now, they were, of course, receiving resistance. The resistance was from Acts 3. The resistance was against them preaching in the name of Jesus. It was not a resistance against the miracle signs and wonders, but against them preaching, ministering, and healing in the name of Jesus.

So they didn’t want to honor Jesus as the power behind those great works. In facing that threat, the apostles in Acts 4 decided that they were going to pray to God for boldness. They were going to pray to God to pour out his Spirit on them, that they would pray with even more boldness, that they would go forth with more fire in the face of resistance and being challenged not to pray, essentially.

Now we see in Acts 2 another outpouring of God’s Spirit. And in that outpouring, some of the same people that are here in Acts 4:31 that were there, they were also in the upper room. They were in the upper room, and they were a part of the 120 who were praying.

And they also that day added 3,000 to the body of Christ because of the preaching they did. Their preaching was so full of glory and their preaching so powerful that 3,000 were added to the number of the body of Christ. 3,000 converted right there from all the nations. They were there. And so we see how the outpouring of the Spirit brings power.

It brings an empowerment. There is a gifting, there is a weight that comes. We see the gifts in 1 Corinthians 12. We also see gifts in Romans 12. We see the different gifts that all come from the same Holy Spirit, but have different functions and different use cases inside the body of Christ.

Tonight, the most important piece here is to remember that there are going to be many fillings. There will need to be many fillings for the demonstration, for the edification, the uplifting of the body of Christ, for healing. The fillings will keep coming forth: the filling of the Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit pouring out, and you being filled with the Holy Spirit.

This may be an opportunity in this season, despite the resistance, the exhaustion, the tiredness, and your overwhelm with the issues of life; this may be an opportunity to be poured into by His Spirit, to be open to receive the outpouring again. To be open to receive that you cannot do it on your own. To be open to receive the fact that you may not know it all, but God does.

So when we’re looking at this scripture and seeing the evidence of another filling for those who were also there in Acts 2 during the Pentecost, they’re now there in Acts 4, and the ground is shaking, and God is pouring out His Spirit, and they are filled again. And as they were filled, they began to preach. They began to speak the Word of God with more boldness.

Acts 4:31 states:

³¹ And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness. - Acts 4:31 KJV

So yes, there was another filling. They were all filled with the Holy Ghost. They were all filled again. And so tonight, as you rest before the Lord, as you consider the weight of the day and the things that you’ve dealt with, as you begin to move some things out of your heart and begin to release some things, and as you do a cataloging of the day and what went right, what went well, what still needs to be done on another day, in the midst of that, remember to pray for a refilling.

Pray to be refueled in the name of Jesus with God’s Spirit.

You need an outpouring of His Spirit to anchor. We need the outpouring of His Spirit to uplift. We need the outpouring of His Spirit to instruct, to bring to us all things, and to give us divine instruction. We need the outpouring of the Spirit of the living God. And we need it frequently.

We need that when we’re tired, and we’re exhausted, and we don’t really know what to do. Going before the Lord and praying for that refilling, praying for your heart to be refilled and refueled for the work that you’re called to, for the life that God is calling you to build, to not grow weary in what is right, what is good.

For in due season you will reap a harvest if you faint not (Galatians 6:9 KJV). We see all of these reminders to sit before the Lord and to pray and to seek his face and to know that God is more than able. But here we see tangibly that when we pray, we’re also receiving that refilling, that we can pray to be filled with His Spirit again.

We can pray for the refilling, and we can be restored in Christ Jesus when we pray. The Bible tells us, for they that knock and ask, they will receive. Matthew 7:7 is clear in that regard. You can ask the Lord, and you will receive. You can ask. And Matthew 7:7 in the King James Version states:

⁷ Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: - Matthew 7:7 KJV

And it goes deeper in verse 8 for everyone who seeks. God is really speaking and encouraging us through this scripture to be still, to be refilled, to rest before Him, and to know that He is God.

Closing Devotional Prayer

Lord, I thank you for the mighty woman of God. Cover her tonight, God, as we come to the end of yet another evening devotional. I thank you for the breaker over the mighty woman of God and over her home. I thank you that her sleep be covered in the name of Jesus and full of peace.

And I give you glory, O God, that tomorrow’s cares will care for themselves, that they will straighten out and be ordered in the name of Jesus by faith. And so, Lord, I thank you, Lord, and I pray in Jesus’ mighty name.

Prayer Focus for Today (May 19, 2026)

Prayer for another level of grace, peace, and the outpouring of the Lord. Everything that is not like God has to break. There is no one like the Lord. I pray in the name of Jesus that the rest of God covers you this morning, that you may receive a fresh outpouring of His Spirit. God is more than able, and He is faithful. May the grace and glory of God cover you, your children, and your home in Jesus name. Not by might, nor by power, but by His Spirit. God moves mountains, and He makes ways out of no way. I thank God for fighting the battles that are not yours. May the blessing saturate your environment in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.

Where you are is no mistake. The position we are in, right in this moment, is no mistake. God is intentional. In our lives, as we make certain decisions in and out, often are a reflection of our beliefs, a reflection of just what has occurred in our lives, or a reflection of the issues of life. And when we’re facing those reflections, we’re facing the reality of a thing.

Now, whether we decide to go to war in the natural or in the Spirit is up to us. It is up to us how we begin to trust. It is up to us how we walk with the Lord. Here in 2 Kings 7, you see a prophet who is looking down the barrel of the gun, so to speak, because of his success in warning the Israelites of where the Syrian army would be.

They surrounded the city, decided to snuff out the people in Samaria, cut them off from trade, get it to where inflation in the city was sky high, and that the women even resorted to killing their children and feeding each other ( 2 Kings 6:28-31 KJV).

We see that here at the end of 2 Kings 6. Now, when Elisha is facing this, and he’s looking at the king who once depended on him, now putting his life at risk. His response is to decree a massive breakthrough. In 2 Kings 7:1, it says,

Then Elisha said, Hear ye the word of the Lord; Thus saith the Lord, To morrow about this time shall a measure of fine flour be sold for a shekel, and two measures of barley for a shekel, in the gate of Samaria. - 2 Kings 7:1 KJV

That decree essentially opened up something new. He prophesied by faith that the battle would turn and that he wasn’t doing anything to make it happen. Simply believing. He wasn’t getting up; he wasn’t digging trenches. No. He was believing that, by the grace of God, what he was uttering was true. There are some battles that you really can’t do anything about, but the Lord is with you.

There are some battles that are so far beyond your control that it’s a wonder that you don’t give up. But God is with you. And here we see that Elisha is facing down this attack on his life, and yet again, he begins to speak for Israel, to decree a massive turnaround in the financial status and in the cost of food, in a long, stretched‑out famine.

Because Elisha decided, in the face of potential death, to speak life, to utter it, knowing that God would perform His work. That God would do the work, and he needed only to be still and to watch it. We see the same testing in Numbers 20, when Moses is given the instruction of the Lord to speak to a rock instead of striking it.

Unfortunately, after leaving the tent, he and Aaron left the tent before the glory of the Lord; he failed to follow instructions. He did the first two steps, but did not do the third.

And when Moses failed to speak to a rock, the response from the Lord was to bar Moses from ever seeing the promise and to immediately create an edict that the life of Aaron was going up, that Aaron’s life was ending, and that his son would carry on Aaron’s mantle. It says in Numbers 20:12:

¹² And the Lord spake unto Moses and Aaron, Because ye believed me not, to sanctify me in the eyes of the children of Israel, therefore ye shall not bring this congregation into the land which I have given them. - Numbers 20:12 KJV

In different versions of the scripture of Numbers 20, it will show you that some of them state the word “sanctified,” others state the word “honor,” others decree that he failed to believe God and to prove that He was holy. So to sanctify, to honor, to prove that He is holy; that is what Moses was advised to do when he was told to speak to a rock.

But he struck it instead. Because the battle was never Moses’ battle in terms of needing to strike something or pull out his weapon, or make something happen. It was all about the grace and glory of God to do exceedingly, abundantly, above all that we could ask, think, or possibly do on our own (Ephesians 3:20-21 KJV).

This battle is not yours.

This thing that you may be facing right now may be so much bigger simply because God intended for it to be bigger for you. He intended for the demonstration to be just that easy for your faith to step into. Life is never easy, but the Lord gives us tools to cope, tools to navigate, and tools to overcome. And one of the tools is our ability to speak and believe, to allow the Spirit of God to do the work, to trust, and to love.

This is the power we have when we decide, instead of exerting our energy behind fighting things that we can’t possibly fight on our own, to pour that energy into our relationship with God. Peace that surpasses all understanding, and knowing that the Lord will provide all that is needed.

He will make ways out of no way. “If the Lord guides me to it, he will guide me through it.” That’s the belief of walking fully in surrender to God, surrender to his will, surrender to his way, and taking joy in the fact that the Lord has not forgotten about you, that all authority and dominion are in the hands of us.

There is a grace and a glory that is going forth now for us to turn to God, to trust that the battle is not ours, it is the Lord’s. That we can rest and trust and walk in the assurance that the Lord is with us, and that He who began a good work will be faithful to complete it until the coming of Christ.

We can trust that the battle is not ours; it is the Lord’s. Especially when He has called us to do no more than just speak, to do no more than utter words, and to watch the grace and glory of God open up in a mighty way. This is the will of the Father, that we will receive in times and seasons when he tells us to go, when he opens the door for us, and when he makes room.

It’s up to us to receive that blessing, to receive the grace, and to receive the glory of walking with God, of trusting in Him and knowing that He is more than able. Elisha did it in 2 Kings 7, and Moses did it in Numbers 20. Or Moses was called to do it, but failed and fell out of covenant, fell out of promise, and fell out of his capacity to step into the promised land.

You can choose to be like Elisha, uttering a thing and then the next day watching the evidence of it: the evidence of the glory, the evidence that the word went forth, the evidence that you just believed, and things changed. Many of us, when tested with the opportunity to believe, we take things into our own hands or do our best to work with carnal weapons. But this is not a carnal battle.

Many fights, many, many fights are about our understanding and our trust in God and our ability to stand the test and stand boldly in the grace and glory of God. There’s a grace, there’s a peace, and there is a joy when you let go and you allow your heart to simply trust the Lord. For the battle is not yours; it is His.

And when you receive this in your heart, you can release a lot of the tension and fear, the weight of this world. You can let it go, and you can trust God to give you a better way, to show you how to move forward. In Jesus’ name.

Closing Devotional Prayer

My prayer for you:

Father, in the name of Jesus, thank you. Thank you for the grace and the glory of God. Thank you for the shackles coming down. Thank you that there are no limits in Christ Jesus. There are no limits to you.

There are no limits to what you can touch and who you bless. There is no limit to you, O God. You operate outside of time. Thank you for the grace and the glory of God over the mighty woman of God. Thank you, God, that this message, though brief, I pray that it will have impact, that it will go forth, and it will bless the woman of God tremendously.

Lord, I pray for the grace and glory of God to cover her, for the weighty glory of God to open up before her, that she may walk in liberty. For whom the Son sets free is free indeed. I thank you for the liberty over the mighty woman of God.

I thank you for the weighty glory of God over her life. I thank you that everything that’s not like you is breaking and that she’s getting to the other side in you. I thank you, Lord, and I pray in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.

Tonight, as you lay yourself to rest, remember that everything that you have dealt with, everything that you have walked through, all of it has a purpose. It may feel like every twist and turn you’ve walked through may have just been unnecessary weight or unnecessary warfare. But many of the things that we endure day in and day out help to cultivate us, help to strengthen us, and guide us on our journey in Christ.

God did not promise that this journey would be easy.

He did not promise that there wouldn’t be times when you would struggle, and you would be tired, and that you would want to rest. There are so many scriptures that speak to the fact that God knows this would be a reality. Galatians 6:9 tells us to grow not weary in well doing, for we shall reap a harvest if we faint not.

The Bible tells us in Numbers that God shall never leave us, never forsake us. He is always with us. He knows what we deal with, what we struggle with in the body of Christ. He knows your personal struggles, what your family’s dealing with, and what you have encountered.

He knows the nature of the warfare that you are encountering. He knows that the enemy may be coming against your finances, your sleep, your children. He may be coming against your stability of mind, your purpose, and your employment.

But God. God is more than able.

So tonight, as you rest in his presence, as you sit with the Lord, just remember to say, thank you. “Thank you” for every trial, every circumstance, every tribulation, every wall that you must walk around, endure, and overcome. For this is strengthening you.

It is empowering you by His Spirit to lean more into God than you’ve ever leaned before, to trust more deeply than you ever knew possible. We’re meant to walk in Christ Jesus, to grow in His will and in His Word. To not be stagnant in our faith, to not be stagnant in our trust, and to not be stagnant in our knowing the Lord.

Through prayer, through fasting, through diligence, purpose, through sitting in his presence and knowing what we’re called to be, who we’re called to be, and how we’re called to show up. That comes by way of personal relationship with God. That comes by way of edification. That comes by way of fellowship.

It comes by way of a relationship with God, where you pray, and you hear, and you know the Spirit of the Lord is at work within you. That’s what it says in Ephesians 3:20-21. And so, because the Spirit of the living God is at work within you, that means you have the capacity to pray.

You can call out to God, and He will answer, as it tells us in Jeremiah 33:3. So we are not alone. In every part of your walk, every single barrier, everything you’ve had to navigate has been purposeful and has been a blessing in disguise. It has grown you, it has strengthened you, and it has solidified your walk with God in a way where you know you trust Him, whether it ends up well or not.

You trust Him because you have come to know Him through time spent in His presence, through the pressing in His Spirit, through the pressing in prayer, and the pressing in your praise and worship. There is so much that comes forth when you are walking in Christ Jesus.

So much development, so much growth, so much transformation. Radical shifts in mindsets and attitudes. All of that comes by the grace and glory of the living God. He is El Shaddai, and He is more than able. May the Lord bless you tonight, cover you and your family as you rest. In Jesus’ name. I’ll see you in the next Evening Devotional. Good night.
